"Had to start with Watersmith partially into the season since my last outdoor company couldn't respond in a reasonable amount of time. I needed some sprayer heads added and changed as well as the backflow test done and results forwarded to the city before starting the season. Watersmith has two departments (Irrigation and Lawn) but a single office team that you can reach on the phone, M-F. They will set appointments and relay information to the appropriate team. And also handle billing. Services cost slightly more than my last company I had but having a live person/s in the office during the work week is worth it. On this Labor Day w/e I discovered I was leaking water up through my front lawn and gave them a call and after pressing #2 got an on-call tech who came over within a hour and shut the water off till they reopen the following week. Was very pleased with that response! While I did not signup for the pre-pay plan this year (only 5% discount) they spelled out what the remaining treatments will cost as well as the sprinkler blowout this fall. I also want to see the results before committing long term."

"<p>What we got was meeting with the owner once, the day he wrote up the order and told us how he would use the wagon wheels and suggested design of the landscaping.  We never saw him after that initial meeting except he would call to tell us what trucks were coming with dirt and compost.  then a young man arrived who put in a metal edging for the flowers/plants area.  the edging, when he finished looked like he was drunk when he did it, plus the metal stakes he secured it with would often break and he would just throw the pieces into the yard for our mower to eventually mow over. We never saw the owner again until the next to the last day.  the plants arrived and placed in a non design manner.  Non of the plants were reviewed with us and I didn't like some of them. We called the owner and said we wanted some flowering ones.  So we went to Lowe's and bought about $100 of flowering plants.  We then spent 2 hours setting aside the plants we didn't like and re locating and designing the landscaping with the wagon wheels. the young lady who showed up the next day to plant the plants had only worked for this company for 2 weeks and knew nothing about design or landscaping.  She just planted the plants and flowers where they were placed. Still no owner showed up. I asked her if she was given a design or plan.  She pulled out a wrinkled piece of notebook paper with a very poor pencil design on it showing where to plant the plants.  No rhyme or reason or design.  </p> <p>I added some flowering plants myself and discovered there were several places where the weed block fabric did not even meet. there were gaps of 4-5 inches. The owner finally arrived on second to last day while they were raking and preparing to Hydroseed.  I spoke to him of my concerns and that I expected to discuss the plants and see some type of a plan.  He apologized and saw the crooked edging but never offered to fix it. We showed him the gaps in weed block fabric, still no offer to fix it.  I was gone when the came and laid the dripper system which consisted of an ugly brown hose, pinned on top of the mulch.   It is so ugly, I would think they would at least cover it with mulch.  I am very disappointed.  This provider was a choice by my husband which I agreed to.  I now regret that choice. I wound strongly suggest if you decide to hire this provider you insist on design suggestions, being specific about plants and making sure the owner is out everyday to supervise he new employees and doing quality control.  </p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Joplin, MO

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
