"Fox Home was wonderful to work with and proposed creative solutions to many aspects of the work. Chris Fox was extremely patient with my constant questions & graciously considered all my unsolicited 'input'. Provided complete & thorough estimates & brainstormed w me ways to reduce costs. Guided me, but allowed me to make final decisions regarding purchase of fixtures, etc. Responded to and adjusted anything relating to my concerns w the work. ( I am a little disappointed in the quality of he paint job on some of the trim work, but they did their best, I think, to correct the issues without completely starting over on this aspect). Made good or corrected any mistakes or miscalculations made by their subcontractors (I was not pleased w the lighting subcontractor). Obviously committed to quality work and customer satisfaction. Total cost (approx 50,000) included custom cabinets and walnut hardwood throughout so could have been considerably less if I had made less expensive demands in that respect. Carefully went over any price adjustments along the way as well as at the end of the project before I paid. Project did take longer than anticipated as is often the case. I would hire Fox Home Innovations again in a skinny minute! 2 1/2 years later we still LOVE our new space!"

"They were fast and professional. Once grass appeared there were 2 strips of grass that got missed when they seeded so I sent them a picture and they returned the next day and re-tilled and seeded missing strips of yard."

"MasterLandscape has and will continue to do an excellent job of Landscaping the areas around the house. We have exclusively used their services since the construction of the house in 12/24/2004. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />They have planted trees, flowers, shrubs and built 3 walls. We have no complaints and selected their services over local landscape companies because they were punctual, very responsive and professional. <br />"

"They removed the old wall, and backfilled the dirt and gravel needed to have the wall stay strong. They didn't expect payment until the work was finished.  Cory took the <br /> time with me to explain what the details of the project.  Once they <br /> started they finished the project, and didn't stop until it was done. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Junction City, KS

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
