"D’Eramo Contracting has the knowledge & integrity the service industry has been lacking. Steven is a wealth of knowledge in roofing and other business endeavors. For new owners of a multi unit we were blessed by him & his crew. A very very small damage to a removable dog fence happened. Steven reported this to us & said he could replace it if the tenants wished. As a soon as it was reported to him he made things right. He shipped a new fence to the tenants. This was so honorable! We need more contractors like this one!"

"The job went extremely well. The communications from the owner, project manager, and crew foreman were exceptional. The costs were competitive, and the work was executed professionally and quickly. In the midst of the job a major wind/rain storm blew in and the crew prepared by adequately protecting the exposed roof. One minor leak resulted and HP Roofing went above and beyond to address it. Cleanup was daily and all demo was removed promptly at the end of the job. Thoroughly enjoyed having this work crew on site and doing a top-notch roof replacement. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent! I'd bought a beautiful slab French door last year from Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and painted it this past winter, but had difficulty finding someone to install it. After doing a lot of research, I found that installing a slab door requires a high degree of carpentry skill. <br /> I got David's name from my aunt - he has done some work for her. He came by on 08/13/15 with his assistant Seth to look at the job. The installation was complicated by the fact that the French door is a true exterior door - 1-3/4' thick, whereas the original back door  was 1-5/8" thick. After discussing two approaches to adjust for the great thickness, we went with my approach of trimming the door stop by 3/8" so that the door would sit completely within the frame. <br /> We arranged to do the work on 08/19/15. The work took a couple hours. He removed a lock remnant from the previous owners from the door frame. He did say candidly that he was not a finish carpenter, so I had to fill the spot where the lock remnant had been with wood putty, and also fill the area on the frame where the bolt lock had been on the original door, but I was fine with that. I do some DIY work, but I know my limitations - installing an exterior door is one of them. When they were done, David and Seth moved the original door to my cellar per my request - I may reuse it in the future.  <br /> David and Seth came back the next morning after I had chance to paint the raw wood that was revealed by the trimming. They quickly reinstalled the weather stripping, and we settled up. The $125 price was a bargain - the fellow I know at Home Depot's door desk once told me that $500-600 is a normal price for slab door installation. I've lived with door for a month now, and it still moves and locks easily. It is very nice having more sunshine in my kitchen. I'll appreciate it even more when winter arrives and the kitchen is both warm and sunny.    <br /> David and his assistant Seth were friendly and down to earth, and I felt very comfortable with them in my house, and that's important too.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Contractor was extremely prompt in responding to an estimate request and providing a professional proposal. His bid was approximately $1,000 below competing proposals. <br /> Work got started about a month later than I had expected and because we had departed on our seasonal move south--leaving our son and daughter at our address--we were absent while the work was done and will not see it until late spring. However a series of photographs and the reports of my daughter seem to indicate an excellent job and cleanup.  <br /> Once the deal was closed and before the work was started I attempted to contacti the contractor several times without response. However this was not a real problem because he had assured me that the old shingles should be OK for another season or two. This statement gave me confidence in his honesty and professionalism. <br />"

"I had found broken shingles on the ground after the last wind storm. The technician found the damaged area showed me where the water damage had just begun in the attic and completed the repair. I had also showed him some water damage at the side of several of my windows. he exposed the window and found the window were installed with some of the original shipping packing not removed causing a fault in the install and allowing water to enter. Several of my neighbors reported the same condition, and diagnosis  Santana's went the extra mile and were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone needing roofing, window or door work <br />"

"Ed and his crew did a fantastic job. They took one of my two garages and made it into an open concept living room and kitchen-area and opened. up a hallway to flow into the existing downstairs bedrooms and bath. The apartment came out beautiful, stayed within my budget and finished on time. The laminated floors and plaster walls came out flawless. <br /> <br />I highly recommend Ed Lenzi construction as I have sinced used Eds services to replace my wood deck with trex decking and later had Ed return for a third job to install a porch covering on one side of the deck. As usual the work came out beautiful and finished with budget. I receive countless compliments for the deck and porch. <br /> <br />Ed and his guys do wonderful work and I'm sure you will be thrilled with his workmanship and professionalism. I will only be calling Lenzi for any future projects. <br /> <br />"

"We love the completed bathroom and especially the shower! Quotes were spot on and you can depend on Rusty doing what he says he will do. As their website states, they are not the cheapest, but if you want great value, the money is worth it. We were so pleased with previous work on our kitchen, we wanted to use them again. Highly advise contacting them well before the work is required due to their full schedule. Rusty reviewed our plans, and made recommendations. He did most of the construction and plumbing where possible. Demo was completed quickly and cleanly. Work was professional, high quality (especially the tile work), timely and complete. Sub-contractors (HVAC, counter top provider/installers, mason/tile installer, electrician, plumber, glass installer) were reliable, professional, pleasant, high quality and attentive. Its the little things that make the difference. Everyone took time to explain the work, point out important points and were highly attentive and courteous. Rusty and his sub-contractors were always willing to go the extra distance that made the difference between good work and exceptional work. For example, the tile installer suggested a border for the shower and with his help, we selected the product that was installed. At then end of each day, trash was removed, tools stored neatly and area made clean. Rusty was always contactable by email or phone and came by often to review sub-contract work or touch base with us. As a somewhat DIY person, I could relate to the work being done and appreciate what it took to do a professional job. Challenges (very few) were solved quickly. The factory incorrectly sent the shower glass without the towel rack, so the installers used the present one so we could use the shower and will install the corrected piece when it arrives. There is no question we would use Rusty and his sub-contractors again for additional remodeling work. Highly recommended!"

The result was perfect in function and purpose and it exceeded my expectations. Both Tim and Nathan are conscientious, friendly, hard working and professional. FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Keene, NH

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
