"He tells you one thing and then does another. Told him he hired union concrete guys. Never saw one on the job. Said he was going to charge $50 / hour - then proceeded to charge $120. Then he later decided to change that value later to $125. Even though his original bid did not have that. Claimed he was going to slope so the water would go towards the street. Instead sloped to a catch basin that I now have to clean out when it should have been sloped the other way. I could say more but you get the gist."

That’s what happens when you actual experienced workers take the lead instead of salespeople. It took a while to figure out exactly what the best approach would be, but in the end I got a job done for like $650 when the others wanted like $3000. I bought a custom fit chimney cap myself for like $200 I think and then had emerald city retrofit and install it for $450."

"When I was getting bids for our paver project, one of the three bids I got was from Rios Brick Pavers. I asked Mauricio, the owner, why I should hire him. Without hesitation, he responded, “Because of the quality of our work.” He went on to say that his crew is great at what they do, and they have been with him for many years. He told me that there may be some competitors who will offer a lower price, but none will match his quality workmanship. Mauricio and his crew went on to deliver on his promise. We had walkways, a large gravel area, and a brick patio integrated into a beautiful and welcoming space that greatly enhances the usability and the look of our home. "Matt called back quickly and over the phone he gave me an estimate for the cost of rebuilding my house's chimney. I had sent a couple of photos of the chimney. As he was coming over to the area for another job, he ended up stopping by and got a good look at the chimney - it would be easier to rebuild it than tuck-pointing it. He sent me a quote in email, which I agreed to, and he arranged to come over on the next non-raining day. They came as promised on the day, set up scaffolding and did the work efficiently. Good work, good communication and nice price."
