"I had my entire roof and gutters replaced. Home Genius did a great job under what could only be considered unprecedented circumstances. Even throughout a global pandemic, an unusually rainy March and a ruptured appendix, the job site was always buttoned down and watertight before the crew left for the day. Brent suggested that oversized gutters and downspouts might be an open for my home given the size and pitch of my roof since I was replacing them anyway. He was right and they look great. I wasn't aware there were larger gutters even available. Brent also took it upon himself to go above and beyond by ordering matching black drip edge and vent pipe housings to match my shingle color. The roof and gutters look great and I get compliments regularly on it."

"Update on previous review. I posted a update earlier but must have been lost. Accidentally called Matt, I hung up the phone I thought before it rang. Matt called me back and said he was sending Cory out to look at our problem. Cory came out on time. Started to repair the problem, when it started to rain. Cory saw the rain flowing over the new gutter guards. Said he would talk to Matt about installing an additional downspout to solve the problem. Cory told me he would call in the morning, then come out to our house. Next morning Cory called and said he got the ok from Matt and he would be right out an install the new downspout. Cory did a very nice job with the downspout, plus he installed 2 deflectors. Saturday, August 27, there was a brief but heavy rain. The downspout and deflectors worked perfectly. Cory and Matt I believe wanted us to be happy, and my wife and I are. The downspout was added at no additional charge."

"The team at LeafFilter gave me the details I needed to make an educated decision on whether to install gutter protection. The team was professional and the installation happened within one day for the price that was estimated and the system works great."

FAQs for gutters & downspouts cleaning service projects in Kenton, OH

You’ll want to clean gutters once or twice a year—in early spring and again in fall—to keep water flowing and avoid pricey leaks. Homes tucked beneath tall trees or hit with heavy debris may need two to four visits instead. Staying on schedule protects your roof, siding, and foundation from costly water damage.

Even with gutter guards, plan on an occasional cleaning—just not as often as homes without guards. Installing gutter guards blocks leaves, but grit and shingle granules still slip through and pile up over time. A quick sweep keeps water moving and stops overflow that can damage your roof or foundation.

Watch for overflowing water, slow or silent downspouts, sagging sections, or debris peeking over the gutter edge. You might also spot water stains, weeds, or an increasing number of ants in certain areas. Any of these red flags means it’s time to call a gutter cleaning pro for service before minor clogs turn into major leaks.

Skip cleanings for too long and gutters overflow, sending water under shingles, down siding, and toward the foundation. The result can be mold, rotted fascia, basement leaks, and repair bills that dwarf the price of a quick cleaning. It can also mean that future cleanings will be more expensive as it will take pros longer to deep clean gutters that are full of heavy debris. Staying on schedule saves money and headaches.

Plan on gutter cleaning service to take an average of one hour for an average single-story home and two to three hours for taller houses. Add extra time if gutter guards need to come off or clogs are packed in. Pros work methodically, clearing every linear foot so water can flow freely again.
