"I would recommend him. He does home repairs. During the last three to four years we've called on him at least once a year and sometimes twice. He is very very reliable. The wonderful thing is he is so reliable. Because I live 180 miles away, I depend on him when things go wrong. It's mainly plumbing things - the toilet is not working and leaking and things. He goes in, fixes it and repairs it. It's a big help to be able to rely on somebody to get things done when you're not around. He did, last fall, redo one bathroom. That was tiling and everything, putting in a new cabinet and things like that. He did the whole bathroom. Again, it was long distance. We only could get up there on weekends but he was working during the week. He is very very dependable and a nice guy. About a month ago we had another bathroom. He has helped out in redoing some things in two out of the three bathrooms. The last one was a leaky toilet. He went in, tightened things up and saw if that worked and it didn't. So, he went back with parts and everything to completely fix the toilet. We're very happy. Again, I didn't see him at all. We were just contacting via email and phone. He was timely. We've used him for every little oddball thing we've had from almost four years. If we have a problem we call Tony. He does construction and repairs. He has had good suggestions on how things are to be done. He is our go-to guy. His prices are reasonable. I had a toilet problem and I first had another guy come in who was much higher priced and did not complete the work right. Then Tony came by and he had to fix what the first guy did and then helped out with other things and his price was more reasonable. His quality is excellent. You've got snow conditions and all kinds of things and there were reasons that he didn't make it when he thought he would stop by. Usually, it had to do with road conditions as opposed to just that he got sick or whatever. Usually, he does try to call ahead of time. We are more relaxed because we only go up on the weekends. So if he doesn't make it on Tuesday he'll probably be there on Wednesday. I know one time he was going to come by and discuss something. But he was held up and he called and said, "I'm about 40 minutes away just to let you know." He does try to keep you updated."

"The project was to paint a steel exterior door, one side. I had the paint, but it was latex and I was told that they preferred not to use latex on a steel door. They used their own paint. Job was good and done in a timely manner. However, after about a month, the paint was still soft and was sticking to the weather striping. I called and was told that sometimes "latex" paint took a while to dry. Latex? I thought they were not going to use latex. It is now December and the paint is still soft & tacky. They have agreed to repaint the door, but I did not want to be without a door in sub-freezing weather. They say they will repaint it in the Spring. We will see how that goes and I will follow-up the review."
