He personally put some final touches to the concrete joints. He also directed the crew to place the heavy plastic tarp over the concrete to protect it from the elements at night. "Excellent work! Every step of the process of working with Ground Up was easy and reassuring. Russ was the project supervisor who started the process by taking a look at our foundation and a couple of areas that needed attention. He reviewed the project thoroughly and asked very specific questions about what we wanted to do. I really appreciated the care and thought that was put into making sure that we were on the same page about the work to be done. He explained everything very thoroughly (in words that I could understand!), and I felt really good about having them do the work after talking the project through with Russ. All this before I even got the quote! I hired them, and I am beyond satisfied with the work and the service. Can't say enough about what a relief it is to know that the house is sitting on a firm foundation, and for such an important repair, it feels really good to work with a team that inspired confidence every step of the way. I would gladly hire them again. They did excellent work and gave me a warranty on top of it. To Russ and Carter and the rest of the team, thank you very much! "Because of my scheduling issues, the work took place over two days.  On the first day, a Tuesday, a crew came to pressure walk the sidewalks around my house and to clean my gutters ($150 for each of these tasks, for a total of $300).  Then two days later, another crew came to wash my windows ($405 for this).  When the estimator came earlier, he gave me a cost range for all three tasks, based on the time they would take.  The pressure-washing and gutter-cleaning came in at the low end of the range; the window washing came in at the higher end--but all three jobs were within the price range quoted.  The jobs were done very well -- I had not seen the real color of my sidewalks in so long that I was quite surprised to find out what they look like when the layer of dirt and silt was gone!  The window-washing was perhaps the more difficult task.  My house was built in the 1940s, and both the windows and storm windows are old. I hadn't tried to wash the windows or even move the storm windows since I moved in more than ten years ago.  The crew worked hard in the July heat (and in my mosquito ridden yard) to wrestle with the old windows and screens; today, my windows sparkle. Both crews were courteous and hard-working.  I'll call Alpine again. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The owner is very professional and friendly and was very helpful. They repaired the bottom step on my house as well as filling in cracks around the pool. The workers were also friendly and helpful. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is they left abruptly after finishing and didn’t put the hose away and there was some debris left on the back. I wasn’t sure if they were done or coming back or what. So the communication needs a little improvement but overall a very good company."
