"I contracted Switch Electric to run different circuits to install various mechanical equipment for better indoor air quality and other work for the kitchen remodel. Overall experience, from scheduling and communication to last-minute accommodation, was fantastic and transparent. I found that the whole team plays their role sportingly. Aaron Pullen was engaged and involved in understanding the project scope and providing different options. When it came to the actual installation, Anatoliy Matyuk/team was responsive and informative and understood how I wanted to see the overall project. He was not rushing and taking shortcuts. He genuinely cares about what he does and crafts his work to the customer's satisfaction. All work was done swiftly and professionally. I'll call Switch Electric again for my electrical needs and recommend them for solid work ethics and strive to get customer satisfaction."

"We hired Joe to install some electrical outlets and lighting upgrades in a few places in our house, garage and shop. He showed up on time, was friendly and respectful (wore a mask) and took the time to really understand not just what we wanted to do but why we were doing it. This actually led to some even better ideas than we originally had. Joe seemed to be very knowledgeable when it came to the options available and the codes that had to be followed. All the work was done at a reasonable price. We would definitely hire him again for any future electrical needs."

"I've used Seatown for several different service calls. By far the most major one was a partial rewire that replaced some knob and tube wiring. There are several reasons why I view the as an excellent company: - Their administrative and dispatch system is efficiently and competently run. Phone calls during business hours are answered quickly (I've never been on hold for more than a minute or so), they usually have good availability, and the phone operator takes plenty of notes during your phone call which are then communicated to your technician who then has ample context on your problem right up front. - All of the technicians I've worked with have been friendly, communicative, and professional. It always seemed like they know what they're doing. Also, they will patiently explain to you what's causing your issue and what they did to resolve it. - I want to particularly call out Micah, the technician in charge of my rewire project, who was outstanding. He initially came out to diagnose why a couple of circuit breakers were constantly tripping, and identified the need to rewire my garage, office, furnace, and one bedroom. He wrote me an estimate, which I later compared to other companies' and turned out to be quite reasonable. Between my shopping around and heavy holiday demand, it wound up being a few weeks before the rewire was completed. In the intervening time, the circuits tripped a few more times. When I notified Micah of this, he offered to personally come over to further troubleshoot the problem - on Christmas Day - despite Seatown being closed! Micah also found a way to complete the rewire with almost no interior drywall damage. Finally, he was particularly helpful in answering my many questions about my home's electrical system, both before and after the rewire. Micah's combination of professional competence and personal empathy is very uncommon and exemplary. If you hire Seatown for any major electrical work, try to get Micah as your technician. While I am overall very satisfied with Seatown, there are a couple areas that I think could be improved: - At one point between Micah's initial estimate and the start of the rewire project, the circuit connecting my furnace gave out. This was on December 23rd, and I was concerned about my house not having heat. I e-mailed Seatown's emergency mailbox requesting someone come out requesting emergency service, but did not receive a response until December 27th. The office being closed for the holidays is completely understandable, but if you're going to have an emergency mailbox then you should be able to respond to it promptly 24/7, or at least have some kind of auto-reply that sets expectations on when a human can respond. - For relatively minor calls, their service visit fee is quite inelastic relative to the work that is actually done. By which I mean, I've paid about $300 every time they send an electrician out (other than the rewire), regardless of whether they did significant work like replace damaged, bare wire in my breaker panel, or just tell me not to use a space heater. It probably evens out in the long run, but each service call is a bit of a crap shoot on whether I'm going to feel like I got my money's worth. It seems to me to make more sense to charge a lower up-front visit fee, but then charge additionally for specific services rendered."

"In-House electric was amazing from beginning to the end. Our little project turned into a total rewire (due to old knob and tube wiring). The cost was the best out of three other companies and they started the job within a week. Ryan and Eli were amazing!!! They were always on time and communicated with us their process, gave advice regarding placement of lights and listened to our concerns. I would highly recommend this company for any small or big job!!! Thank you In-House Electronic!"

"Very efficient and thorough company. Our new home came with a Home Warranty Policy. Shortly after closing we started to have electrical issues. The insurance company sent out 1st Choice Electrical who brought our 1977 home up to code with a new electrical panel and GFI outlets. We also had them install a new outlet for a over the range microwave. If the need arises we will definitely use them again."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Kirkland, WA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
