"We hired green star to do a pretty large shadow box fence for us. They came out and quoted us in a pretty timely manner, and the fence looked good when they finished. However, a couple weeks later the screws started popping out on multiple pickets. The pickets are bowing in quite a few places because the wrong screws were used. I contacted them and was told that they would be out to replace pickets that week. Two weeks later I contacted them again because no one showed up, again no one came. I contacted them again and was once again told they would come replace pickets that week. They never showed up, so my husband went ahead and fixed it himself. Overall not impressed."

"Let me start with the final product... we are absolutely thrilled at how our family room has transformed by this new gorgeous addition.
Mitch and his team did an outstanding job building this unit for us. He was very detail-oriented and worked like a thorough professional. We would say he went above and beyond what was agreed upon and we really appreciate his work. He could have rushed and finished the job within the deadline but he took an extra day to ensure the product was well made!
My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Mitch's Custom Carpentry for any specialized carpentry job.
"

"The installation went well, the problem was that the fence took 2 months to arrive. The color and size was a special order, and supplier had just made their customized run so we had to wait until the next run. Blue’s fence communication was bad, the original date for install came and I had to call them when they did not show up. They then updated on issue. I told them when the second month came, that if it did not arrive and get installed within the week I was canceling the order. It arrived the next Tuesday and they installed it Wednesday"

"The technician was on time and professional. He climbed up on the roof and examined it. He reported that there was no damages, but a couple of shingles needed repair. He repaired the loose shingles for no charge This service gave me great confidence in the firm. I would use them in the future."

"Bart and Vince and their able crew did a wonderful job in remodeling our home. Robert and Christian always made sure to clean up the workplace in the yards each day. They are personable and professional, as was Dave Jones when he walked through the options and fees. If you have need for project-level remodel services, call Coors Exteriors. We are very happy customers, and you will be, too. They have a long history of proper service to clients in the Tippecanoe County area. Highly recommended.
"

"
I had all exterior boards on my deck replaced. My deck is about 450 square feet. Lyndon came out and informed me of procedure, time frame and price. He was very courteous and professional. He explained to me that because boards were cedar they will need to be washed to remove film prior to staining. There was no visible film at this time, but he let me know this was needed. I had no doubt that Lyndon could do a quality job. He was highly recommended. The problem was, Lyndon didn't do the work, his crew did. It is my opinion that his crew didn't do a very good job. When the deck was finished there were "globs" of residue on the deck, siding, fence, and patio furniture. I had placed furniture in my yard away from deck so residue on it was puzzling. After I complained, Lyndon came out and inspected the work. He said not to remove residue from deck because it contained some treatment and color. (deck was slightly tinted) He also said residue would vanish by following spring. Here we are almost a year later and residue is still noticeable on the deck. The residue on siding, fence, and furniture are no longer apparent. I had to replace 5 of the new board on the deck and someone from Wood Medic came out and treated these boards. I was not home at the time, but they did a wonderful job.
"

"We were having difficulty finding a company to repair our roof after the hail storm earlier this year, so we looked closer to home and fortunately found Authentic Restoration (AR). From the start it was apparent that the priority with AR is a top-notch job and customer satisfaction rather than a quick sale. We had our roof replaced while we were on vacation and came home to a house that looked better than before the storm. In addition to state of the art roof shingles, AR used high quality, robust attic fan vents and plumbing vent pipe collars. Mark Atarian the Project Manager was awesome - easy to work with, knowledgeable, professional - definitely felt like he was our advocate. If we need our roof replaced in the future we'll without a doubt be calling AR. Thank you AR for repairing our home.
"

"In September, 2013 we hired, what turned out to be, a con man contractor, to completely remodel our new home.
Yes, we had obtained bids from qualified Angie?s List contractors? but the day we intended to hire the more qualified company, they notified us they would be out of state, on a 3-week hunting and fishing vacation.
Since cool to cold weather would be settling in?and there were a number of outside projects that needed to be done, before winter, we had to make a decision. We chose to go with the next highest bidder. BIG MISTAKE!
On November 11, 2013, the former con man contractor, who used extremely deceptive practices?and ultimately caused over $75,000 in damages to our home and property?broke his contract and abandoned our job site.
Somehow, in the initial bidding-mix, we had missed Jim Smith, of VIP Home Solutions. He, his company, and crew ultimately came to our rescue.
Because of complications in dealing with the former contractor's liability insurance company and bonding/surety firm, it took over a year to settle claims due us? that would help initiate repairs to the massive number of botched jobs the former contractor and his so-called crew left behind.
Fortunately, we had a written contract with the former contractor and copies of two bonds (one of which turned out to be a worthless, misrepresented bond). Despite months of wrangling with insurance and surety reps, we eventually settled on amounts that would take care of some of the needed repair work.
VIP Home Solutions stuck with us, from the beginning (for nearly 14 months)... anytime an adjuster had to come out; anytime we needed a revised quote for the various insurers (who kept dragging their feet and delaying decisions anytime they could-- in their attempts to stretch decisions out past the Statute of Limitations); anytime our attorney needed quote verifications -- Jim Smith and his crew of experts would be there for us.
Eventually, after long delays, we received modest payments from the insurers. But, by then, extensive water damage had occurred, inside and out, that had to be dealt with--especially in our basement.
Before we could hire VIP Home Solutions, LLC, we had to hire a professional excavator to correct a very severe grading problem, with our side yard, and to correct reinstallation of our basement egress window (both problems created by the former contractor).
VIP Home Solutions came to the rescue, to attack a full list of remodel projects that needed to be completed.
Included in VIP?s remodel projects were:
· Complete remediation and partial re-installation of drywall; priming of our large basement walls (including entry room and staircase; family room; guest bedroom; security room; and full bath)
· Stippling of FR ,Office and Guest Room ceilings
· Extension and repair of a fake bathroom vent that was intended to be vented to the outside, but was never cut through
· Complete remediation of flooded basement office wall; full remodel and painting of our basement office; closet; floor and door trim
· Installed five basement doors and door handles
· Repaired/reframed the basement egress window, that the former contractor had framed with a hidden ?paper? wood product that soaked up water from the outside
· Electrical remediation of switches, plugs, and light fixture boxes in several rooms where the original contractor?s ?electrician? had botched the wiring jobs
· Installation of a new half-bath electrical wall fixture box and wiring of new switches
· Remediated and repaired hallway bath wall that had been left open by a plumber
· Remediated/repaired and installed new outdoor cedar soffit material, over patio French doors, that had been left open and exposed to weather
· Cleaned up, removed, and hauled away all trash
There are many more damaged projects?left over from the former contractor?that still must be remediated, but insurance money was not enough to cover it all.
When possible, we will definitely hire VIP Home Solutions, LLC to complete those projects, as well.
It is important to note that, from the beginning, everyone with VIP showed up on time (or were early). At no time did any of the crew show up late. There was never any sign of cigarettes/smoking on our property (which is just the opposite of the former crew
who even put their cigarettes out on our wooden porch trim, and left butts all over our property, no matter how much we asked them not to do so).
Jim, Pat, and Mike were always courteous, kind and caring. And they kept us informed every step, along the way. They even showed up on the Friday prior to starting the job, to plan out each step with crew members?and to prepare the job site, staging area?and us?for what was to come.
I must also mention that their courtesy extends from all members of their office team, as well?at the 540 N. Madison Street office, in Greenwood, IN (46142).
I cannot give any higher recommendation for VIP Home Solutions, LLC? well, maybe an A+++++ in every category!
Way to go, VIP!

"

"My husband and I contacted with Toombs Construction after several unfortunate incidents with another no-name contractor. I was about one month away from having our first baby and two-thirds of our home was down to the studs and had major exterior work to be done as well. Robert was very quick to respond to my initial phone call and came out to our house within 24 hours. My request was simple: "I need you to finish the interior and I need it done in under 5 weeks". His response was also simple: "We can do that".
Albeit, the cost of this company's work seemed very high, at first. The quality is beyond acceptable, the punctuality of the work done was impeccable, and after the debacle and endless cost "that other guys" caused, we were, to say the least, pleased to have Toombs' company at work for us. We were able to bring our fresh new human home to a (mostly) finished renovation; something that without Toombs would not have been possible.
Since that first set of tasks, we have had Toombs out to do most of what remained of our overhaul, and we plan to contract with him for any future home renovation. Robert is a well seasoned contractor with great skill and professionalism. His crew is comprised of friendly and diligent workers who were very considerate of our family and our property. Of our many experiences with contractors, Toombs far exceeds our expectations. He has restored my faith that honest and reliable contractors do exist. I reccomend Toombs Construction for any home improvement project.

"

"It went great. Carlos was able to come give me an estimate the same day I called; they were able to do the work one week later. The crew of five arrived mid-afternoon on a very hot July day and was finished in about 4 hours. I was not home when they arrived, but got there about 2 hours later. Most of the work was finished by then, except for trimming the crab tree and doing the driveway work. The newly edged flower beds looked wonderful with fresh mulch. An ivory halo dogwood shrub was planted in place of the Rose of Sharon and a few additional coral bells were planted to supplement some I already had. It was a lot of hard work, especially hauling away all the branches trimmed from the two large bushes and the crab tree, but they did a beautiful job and cleaned up the yard afterward. Carlos was able to re-use the original railroad ties and had them realigned and spiked in place in much less time than I thought the job would take. They also sprayed the weeds in the gravel driveway. The yard looks much nicer now."
