"Excellent work. Pete responded promptly to my initial inquiry, came out ASAP to provide an estimate on the cracked step (and on a bigger "dream" project I've been thinking about), explained what had likely caused the damage, and gave me several options for either replacing the step just as it had been, or upgrading a little bit depending on my price range. His recommendations were good, and we didn't feel pressured at all, but the full reshaping of the step into a rounded one was a bit outside our budget so we took him up on enlarging it by several inches instead. Overall, Pete was friendly and professional, and had that air of experienced competence that you look for in someone doing work on your house. I didn't even bother getting a second estimate. I did, however, call a good friend who has worked in the brick industry for years, and he assured me that the price Pete quoted was right in line with what he would expect for my project if you want it done right. When I gave Pete the green light, he scheduled the work promptly, showed up in the morning on time a few days later, and knocked the whole project out by that same afternoon. Put simply, the step looks great. It was done promptly, in line with our budget and at the price Pete originally quoted, and our whole experience with him was easy and hassle-free. The new brick color is matched perfectly with the old brick (absent a decade of wear and tear obviously), as is the cement, and it is clearly quality construction. In sum, I would highly recommend PK Masonry to anyone, and I will definitely use him again if I can ever convince my wife to let me pull the trigger on that dream project I've been thinking about..."

"Randall answered my phone call and came by the next day. He was very friendly and had good advice regarding how the work should be done, and stopped by the stone store to locate suitable stone for me. His price was more than fair and the job was completed within a couple of days. I could not have asked for more. We are very pleased with the results, and will certainly use his services again. <br />"

"I had a positive experience working with them but I chose someone else to do the work. They were on time and had some good ideas. I felt that they were an organization of integrity."

"I had searched for medium size river gravel, but could find nothing. A friend told me about EasyLiving Garden Center, and I found that they have all sizes of river gravel - small (pea size), medium, and large (egg size). They have the gravel in-stock, so you can look and be sure it is what you want. They deliver for a reasonable fee. They delivered promptly as promised, and called first. Excellent service."

"It went well. The house was for the most part above average quality. There were many out-of-the-ordinary custom design aspects of the house that were tricky to execute which were expertly executed. And the contractor kept his word on costs even at his personal expense. Overall I was very pleased - would have him build another house without hesitation. <br />"

"I have used A Cut Above for various services for the past 5+ years. They installed the sod in my back yard and ran irrigation lines there. I was happy with their work. I hired them three years ago to mow/edge my yard bi-weekly. I loved how they edged (like a knife in the beds). Of late though, they have gotten a little sloppy and the mulch has been thrown into the yard by the weedeater. To be honest, I think that Neal has taken on too many clients and his oversight of his clients' properties has suffered. Every time I have asked for somethng "special", it has gotten screwed up. They installed the wrong color mulch. I had them put some irrigation heads on risers and one was not attached properly so it was blowing up in the air (I fixed it myself). I had them install a water faucet on my irrigation line. It wasn't hooked up properly and the line, subsequently, leaked for two days. The final straw was that I asked Neal to do a special mowing, as I was having an important gardening function at my home. When I arrived home from work the evening before the event, the yard had not been mowed. I tried to call Neal and all I got was his voicemail. I, subsequently, talked my neighbor into mowing my yard. I called Neal again (this time he picked up) and told him that I was getting my yard mowed by my neighbor. He said, "good!" I asked him why he didn't call me, if he couldn't do it? He said he thought he could do it later that evening (it was now 6 p.m.) or in the morning (my function was at 9:30). I told him that he should've let me know what was going on. He was so non-chalant about it and just didn't care even though he knew this was really important to me. That was the final straw for me so I fired him on the spot."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Knoxville, GA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
