"Thoroughly professional services; team is punctual and friendly. Explained reasons why certain features may not be right for our yard and proposed alternatives. Workmanship is excellent. It was/is a joy to interact with Mr. Serna and his team - we will be asking for their services again should the need arise. It is VERY difficult to find trustworthy services in this category in El Paso; I am still amazed that <strong>Landscape & Concrete Impressions</strong> was/is as professional as the experience has turned out."

"All work was done in two days. Work was clean and very organized. Job was done by numerous employees and each one new what their job was. Employees were very polite and courteous. I was informed of each one of the steps that was being done, which made me feel very comfortable. The company dealt with permits and inspections.  Mr. Akers is very knowledgeable of city codes.  I didn't have to worry about it.  When the last inspector came by, he informed me that the job was very well done.  I am very pleased. Several neighbors have come by to inquire the companies info. <br />"

"I want to start with the fact that this review is over a year old and with time I remain very happy with the services I was provided. Overall Danny was very professional. Quality of work was very good. The price was fair. Danny stands by his work and now I suspect it is cause it was done right from the start. This job was extensive requiring tearing down the shower to what studs were salvageable and concrete. New custom cabinets, countertops, vessel sinks, standalone tub, lighted mirrors, added heater and exhaust, as well as additional lighting. Of course all the tile was done throughout and toilet replace. He even made a custom very solid barn style door where none existed into our master bedroom. After interviewing 6 contractors for this job I am glad we chose D.R. and he is the first person we call when we are ready for our kitchen remodel. BTW he helped us with obtaining financing. He took disbursement of funds based on work completion level all spelled out contractually. Have recommended him to any of our friends who have asked."

"Nice company to deal with. Workers were hard workers and did the job to my satisfaction. Even came back a few days later and moved a very large rock as an extra and cleaned up after themselves. Did a very good job of the clean up and installation. <br />"

"We could not be more pleased with our experience with Sun City. Alex came out to do an estimate and explained the options, he is knowledge and explained the options available. Leigh Ann in the office was super easy to work with regarding scheduling our install. Next the installers Jeff and Johnny arrived and did an awesome job completing the installation of our new roof top HVAC system. Jeff and Johnny are customer service stars, they explained what they were doing and how the progress was going and completed the job including cleaning up everything...like they have never been there. So whatever is going on at Sun City it's working, best customer service we've experienced in a very long time. Hire this team you'll not be disappointed."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in La-mesa, NM

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
