"Shannon provided feedback about the current life of my fence and was brutally honest in stating that it wasn’t time yet to replace it. I appreciate his honesty and tips on how to repair the one fence post that was rotted out. In the coming years when I look to replace or upgrade the fence I’d definitely seek their services again."

"Lots of delays getting started and lots of excuses. Some issues came up after installation and it was impossible to get a return phone call for months on end with many more personal excuses. There are places where the fence is nearly 6" off the ground which would be a huge problem if we had a small dog. The gates look very rustic and cheap. We received a 2% discount at the end but that won't come close to actually fixing the issues. Would not recommend to my neighbors."

"Everything went well, I am happy with the replacement gates and fencing. All the Glidden employees were pleasant and informative. Glidden Fence Co. was one of the few companies willing to take on a small project like mine."

"I have a rather rare roof style- flat, not low slope, flat. It was pretty much wood decking covered with tar paper, then asphalt, then rock. I've come to learn that this is called built-up roof or BUR. My house was built in the 60's when this was more common but these roofs are prone to leaking and I wanted to replace my roof with a membrane (TPO) roof. This really limited my options for contractors since only companies that do commercial roof (ie on walmarts) can install membrane roofs. Most companies either wouldn't do a residential roof cause they aren't worth their time or would charge an astronomical price (~20k).
I got quotes from several companies, some of which didn't seem like they had ever installed a membrane roof and would only give me a 2 year warranty. Since I don't plan to be in this house for more than 5 years, I really wanted a good, transferable warranty to make it easier to sell the house. Duramax gave me a competitive quote and a 10 year warranty (much better than other companies) and it was clear that they had experience with this type of roof. After receiving the quote and talking with an architect I decided the best best thing to do was to put a layer of tapered insulation under the membrane to add a little slope to the roof to prevent water pooling. Steve met me at my work to talk with me about how to do this, went back to my house to get measurements again was able to work with me on the price to include the insulation. After I agreed to go with them, Steve met me at work again to go over the paperwork. He saved me a lot of time and hassle by meeting me when/ where I wanted. They started the work as soon as they could and the weather cooperated, which was about 2 weeks later.
They showed up with a crew of 5-6 and Steve and the owner were either there or available to make sure things went smoothly. Tearing off the old roof was harder than we expected. There were several layers to the roof and they could have just put the new roof on top of this but I wanted them to get it down the the decking underneath to make sure it was solid. They were happy to do whatever I wanted even if it meant and extra day of work. It was clear that they were focused on keeping the customer happy. There was a couple places where the decking was rotten and they replaced this without charging me more. There were also a couple of issues when they were installing the insulation regarding the lip-edge around the roof (critical with a low-slope roof). I called Steve and he was out there immediately to make sure everything was done right and I was happy. He was very attentive to the customers needs. When it came time to install them membrane, they brought in their "commercial roof" guy that clearly had a lot of experience with this type of roof. They did a very good job installing it and made sure I was happy with it. In the end I fully expected the bill to be a little higher than the quote due to the unexpected issues they had to deal with but they didn't ask for a penny more.
Overall I would highly recommend Duramax since they did quality work for a good price, treat their customers very well, and stand behind their work.
"

"Sorry everyone if this is a bit lengthy, but i want to add my experience from the start to finish. I used Angie's List and read hundreds of reviews to better make an informed decision when investing so much $$ into a new fence. So I hope this helps!
First, I can?t say enough how impressed we are with our new fence! From the initial estimate, follow up, ordering materials and installation everything went smoothly.
We started getting estimates to replace our old wooden fence last April (2015) and K&M was one of the 3 companies that came our for an estimate. Out of those 3 companies I was the most comfortable with Adam because I felt like he was straight forward with what the job would entail and wasn't pushy or just trying to sell me something. After all estimates were in my husband and I decided we needed to wait and save a bit more so we could get exactly what we wanted. So, in February when we were ready to move forward we contacted K&M again to come back out to re-walk the property and add a few changes to the previous quote. This time it was Nick who came out and re-drew the plans for our new fence. For comparison to our new quote, we also called out an additional 2 companies (different ones from the previous April). Again, Nick made me feel the most comfortable. In fact, one of the companies called out for the 2nd round of quotes told me they would not even do the job unless I changed the color combination I had picked. He said they were the fence experts and that I would not be happy with what I had chosen. Well, guess what? We LOVE what I chose!!!
Once we made our material deposit (special order requires materials to be paid for up front) the materials were ordered and we were put on the schedule for March 9th. I was pleasantly surprised when I came home from dropping my son off at school on the 9th that the team doing our installation was already busy taking down our existing old wood fence. We have a large back yard and the fence they hauled away was 2 large trailer fulls. The tear out took an entire day to complete and they were back the next day with all of the materials for the new fence. They hustled and worked hard, even though it rained on and off all day and they were literally covered in mud. Bad rain delayed the job for a few days but on the first clear and decent day they were back first thing in the morning to continue the work. Gates were installed a few days later after the concrete had fully set.
Total new vinyl fence installed was 335 linear feet with a 10 foot double gate and a single 5 foot gate. I am a stay at home mom so I was able to watch them from start to finish. I tend to have an OCD personality so I was out there quite a bit making sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. Upon every question I asked they were polite and professional. They were respectful of my requests regarding fence placement, gate placement and hardware placement. They cleaned up after themselves and took all of the scrap pieces and all trash left over with them.
After the fence was 100% complete I received the final invoice for the project and it was exactly as the contract sated. I also received the material warranty information i needed to register with the vinyl company.
There was not one single problem and not one single complaint. Communication was great, they were here on time, they worked hard and now we finally have our beautiful fence! I would highly recommend K&M and we appreciate all the hard work their team did on our new fence.
"
