"Tracy was so fun and easy to work with. He showed up on time for our initial consult. We did not have a real good idea on what we wanted to do yet. Tracy was full of ideas. He had pictures of other decks that he had done and gave us a lot of suggestions without pushing anything. He showed us samples of different Trex colors and made recommendations based on the color of our siding and trim. We discussed many options but still could not decide on exactly what we wanted. Tracy drafted up at least 5 different estimates for different sizes, shapes, and features for our deck. We ultimately decided on a price range and worked with Tracy to accomplish what we wanted for the price we wanted to spend. Tracy was very open to ideas and additions that he was not familiar with but still did the research to figure out exactly what we wanted. He was creative with ways to cut costs, even if meant using a product other than Trex, which he is a platinum installer for. Once the details were worked out construction began as soon as the ground thawed. Tracy and his team were very pleasant and always showed up when they were supposed to. Tracy would always involve us in the process and make sure that everything was being constructed as we wanted and discussed. There were a few times when something was not done like we had thought it was going to be. Tracy would happily accommodate us and make the change without hesitation. He never appeared frustrated or gave us a hard time for anything. Even when we would contact him at 8pm at night when I returned home after work and saw something I didn't like. Tracy has even been a please to work with several months after construction. We had a a small piece of the railing crack that was hardly visible. The crack was our fault and not anything construction related. Tracy happily replaced it for no cost. I can't say enough good things about Tracy. He is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. His price was below 2 other estimates I got and I truly believe he was the most qualified to do the job. He does quality work and backs his work with confidence. If you want a deck please consider calling Tracy. <br />"

"The crew arrived on time with all needed materials.  They worked professionally and efficiently for 2 and one-half days to complete this project.  The contractor, Clint, had gone through the construction techniques with me ahead of time, and left me some literature to read.  The walls are very secure with crushed rock, sand, fabric, and heavy mesh to provide drainage and stability.  They carefully transplanted three trees that had been in the ground three seasons,  and they look good.  They replaced our old dirt and clay with a thick layer of topsoil.  To gain access to the site, they needed to drive tractors over the lawn, but all of that area was regraded and re-sodded, so it looks great.  All members of the crew were polite and business-like, and they worked very hard and very well as a team.  Our neighbors were impressed by the quality and speed of the project.  The crew cleaned up the area, including sweeping the street.  I would recommend Custom Retaining Walls of Rochester to anyone needing retaining walls. <br />"

"The crew showed up on the date and time promised and they were awesome! They pushed all of our existing landscaping rock back toward the house to make room for the curb machine, then pulled up and disposed of the existing edging. I even caught one of them pulling weeds from out of the rocks! :-) The job was completed in less than a day. One small problem cropped up in that a 10 foot uphill section of the curbing was slightly crooked. It took one phone call and they were back tearing it out and redoing it and it now looks great. Over the summer we did projects with 4 contractors totaling over $16,000 and this was the only contractor we would ever use again. They were wonderful and we could not be more pleased with the curbing. It keeps all of the landscaping rock where it belongs, enhances the flower beds, gives the yard a neat, well-kept look and makes mowing much easier. Owner Mark Westerman is a true professional which is very rare to find in the landscaping contractor field these days! <br />"

"Their tree selection was the best in Rochester, especially for balled and burlap trees. I wanted a tree larger than a potted tree, so we were looking in the 2and quot; diameter range and we needed two of them. Since these were for the boulevard, we had worked with the city forester to determine our options. Whiting's did offer some suggestions that were also approved by the city. We brought the two trees home ourselves and planted them, but they did have a fairly reasonable charge for delivery and plant. However, I wanted to put the money into getting larger trees, rather than paying for that service. They did an excellent job of getting the trees into the back of the pick up truck (using their bobcat) and securing it for the ride home. It was a bit of a work to get them out of the truck and into the hole, but not too difficult. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Lake City, MN

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
