"I lived in this house for 20+ years. The basement was always damp and at some points flooded. Since the work was done, the basement has been bone dry for 2+ months. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it as I'm so used to the basement being wet when it rains. I'd recommend them to anyone. The crew, headed by Philip, truly worked their butts off. It was heavy exhausting work to excavate and rebuild the basement walls, as well as jack hammering out the concrete basement floor to put in the French drain, pour the concrete, etc. But they took great care & did a fabulous job. They even came and worked on a weekend when we were being threatened with a tropical storm to make sure that the basement was properly secured enough to withstand the storm (which thankfully did not come)."

"JBW Masonry did absolutely excellent work!!! I found them through Angie's list and we are over the moon pleased with their work. Josh met our contractor for an estimate. While JBW Masonry was not our least expensive bid, I could tell from our initial meeting that he knew what he was doing, as we have had extensive masonry work done in the past. He is competitive for the quality of work and worth every penny. Josh, Troy, and crew started when they said they would and and finished in a timely manner. Everyone was neat, courteous, and took pride in their work. In fact, one of the things we enjoyed noting was watching the crew continually step back to assess their work. They laid out all the stone on the ground and then carefully selected the best rock for the location. It wasn't about grabbing any stone and finishing the job as quickly as possible. Quality matters to them. It was about finding the right stone for each spot in the wall. Our neighbors also observed the men stepping back to assess their work, and like us, they could appreciate the craftsmenship. I also appreciated that these men seem to truly enjoy working together. That seems rare these days. They laugh, enjoy listening to music while they work, and just have a good time producing a quality product. They were gentlemen, and a pleasure to have on our job site. Our job looks beautiful and all of us are hard pressed to tell it isn't real stone. If you want quality work at a fair price, this company is the one to hire. "My parents had a Sunroom installed in 2004. The roof has been leaking; I have caulked and recaulked to no avail. My father has Alzheimer's, and went through that tearing up stage of all the paperwork, so I had no idea of who installed the Sunroom. I called Bitner who refused to take my phone number, stating that they don't repair someone elses work. I called Great Additions who never returned my phone calls. <br /> I called Blakeslee Home Improvement, and Robert Valenti wasted no time in coming out on 8/8/2012. He investigated the problem, and informed me that the roof was finished. The original company who did the installation of the Sunroom never bothered to put sheeting or roofing tiles on the roof, also never bothered to connect the downspout from the house to the Sunroom. They just took advantage of my elderly parents, and ran with the money. <br /> He informed me of their heavy schedule, but would fit us in. He did, within a few weeks he and his crew were out to repair the roof that another company never wasted their time to finish. It's looks wonderful, they even matched the tiles to the roof of the house. <br /> This company is AWESOME. If you want good / great/ excellant work done, give them a call. <br /> <br /> <br />"
