"I was extremely pleased with Elite Roofing Solutions! The team that replaced my roof was professional and courteous. They did a great job with cleanup after the roof was replaced. Also, Lynch Services did an amazing job at repairing my ceilings and painting on the inside of my house."

"They did some minor roofing repairs and found that the chimney had deteriorated, the top row of bricks were missing most of their mortar. They repaired the mortar and repainted, also repaired the chimney flashing at top and base, Very happy, showed up on time and did a nice job, cleaned up after themselves."

"They came out on Monday, a little later than promised and went right to work. They had the old roof off in two days, cleaned up afterwards and hauled all the old shingles away. As they were removing the old roof, it was discovered that one of the eaves had some rotten wood and they repaired it and gave me a good price for the repair. I am very pleased with the quality of work performed. They even cleaned all of the gutters for me."

"I have had contact with this company for a long time. Years ago, they helped me quite a bit by repairing a very old window after a burglary. They went overboard by searching for and locating materials that were no longer manufactured in order to fix my old window, and they were the only company that was willing to go the extra mile to help someone with limited resources. Now I'm finally replacing all my old windows. I chose them to do this job for their kindness and conscientiousness, as well as their expertise and great reputation (no complaints on the internet, and a grade of A+ with no complaints with BBB). They replaced 11 vinyl windows. The windows are high quality and the installers' workmanship and neatness were first rate. All three installers appeared intelligent, personable, polite and professional. They were relaxed and took their time to do the job right, in spite of a heat index of over 100. Their secretary also seems kind and capable. I wish all repair people lived up to these standards. <br />"

"He is always willing to get to the true root of the leak and spend time crawling the roof while I tap from the inside where the leak is coming from. He is always prompt and efficient. If his fix doesn't get the leak the first time he is willing to come out over and over again. He has always fixed the leak right the first time so have never had to have him come out again for the specific leaks he has fixed. He rocks! I can't say enough good things about him."

"These guys were absolutely fantastic from the get-go. They were extremely professional, straight forward, and a pleasure to work with. The crew got to the house on time and did a great job. It took about a day and a half for them to do the roof just because it has so many hips and out-shoots. I'm so happy to have a new roof, and I will gladly refer Roof Pro to anyone. The reps who came out (Joe Harger and John Harger, brothers) were superb. We often spoke via text messages, and they were always very prompt with responding. They bent over backwards to work with me and the insurance company. I'm looking forward to enjoying this roof for quite a number of years! <br />"

"Great company! They even came out a second time to look at the roof and did not charge me. Can't beat the friendliness and quick response. I will always use them for my roofing needs."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Horn Lake, MS

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
