"I contacted Mr. Garrett the morning of May 1, 2014 to get a quote on some landscaping. and left a voice mail..he called me back within ten minutes.  He said he would come by the next day and give me an estimate.  When he came by he told me what he would do and gave me and estimate.   Previously, someone else had given me an estimate but after my down payment, I was told they couldn't do it for a month.  That is when I contacted Mr. Garrett, I needed the job done asap.  My first question to Mr. Garrett was when he could get to it because I didn't want to wait a month.  He stated he could come by late that afternoon, since the job wasn't too big, to complete the job.  A few hours later, he came back with an employee and together they mulched, dug and planted my yard, along with trimming my Japanese Maple Bush.  He did an awesome job.  I would recommend him for any thing.  I even happened to mention needing the deck around my pool and I am going to get a quote for that too soon.

"It turned out that the sod was defective, having a thin sand base instead of soil. It failed to take root and grow. The sod distributor who sold the defective sod refused to reimburse Looking Sharpe for the cost. Nevertheless Looking Sharpe removed the old sod on my lawn, put down top soil and fertilizer and laid down new sod at no cost to me. Looking Sharpe absorbed the cost of the replacement even though the original failure was not their fault. This speaks very highly of Mr. Sharpe and the integrity of his business."

"When they did the edges, I didn’t want them to put the bricks there. I wanted them to put a trench to separate where the grass started and the flower bed. I asked them to do it because I wanted it to look more professional and not like something crazy I did that wasn’t straight. It looks very crooked like something I would have done. The front they did well. I told him and he came back out and let him off the hook. He acknowledgeable that he could have done a better job. They didn’t’ put the extensions on the down spout far enough. So now I need to re-dig and make them lower or add more top soil above. They didn’t do a professional job as I would have liked. They were supposed to spray and a couple of days later I noticed that none of the vegetation was dying. I called back and they acknowledge it and came back out. They were responsive.    I tried to use them again but they were not responsive."

"Hired to do a general yard cleanup, removal of a couple trees and stumps, and taking away a ton of yard waste the previous owners left under our deck. The estimate given was very competitive, and communication was good throughout the entire process. He even offered to clean my gutters for no extra cost to seal the deal. They worked diligently, and I was very pleased with the work. Once the stumps were removed I asked about mulching, and they were able to come back the very next day to perform the job. Easy to work with and pleasant demeanor. Will hire again in the future for yard work and other general projects included in their portfolio."
