Joe spent time researching on-line and by phone to locate all the materials he would need and the special tool required to accomplish the repairs. They took great care to prep the walls and ceiling so the final product was as perfect as it could be. They covered everything with drop cloths and plastic so there was very little dust and no mess. And they even vacuumed after removing all the drop cloths which I thought was a nice touch! "We have used Alan Drake MANY times at this point -he is our go-to contractor for all our projects big & small. Our first experience of him was when he finished our basement after we had it lowered a foot (by another company). Did a great job from the first minute - was reasonable on price, had the expert on his team, Karl, draw our plans for rebuilding our basement steps & finishing basement for permit purposes,  framed & built walls, finished with trim/cabinet doors, and then had his team paint the whole thing. We then had to use him after our basement unfortunately flooded from Irene when he had to redo a good amount of the work he had done the year before. We've used his team to paint our entire house top to bottom & they did an efficient and beautiful job. Have used them to clean our gutters periodically and power wash the back of our house and patio - always at a reasonable price. And this latest time when our sewer pipe backed up and caused a flood only days before we were having an open house, he came through and squeezed us into his schedule at the last minute, seeing what an emergency it was. Alan is a friendly, extremely personable guy, and beyond fair in price and setting expectations. We highly highly recommend him. He is our hero! Tip: Alan communicates best by text because he is so very busy.

"First project: Derek arrived quickly with a quote and was able to provide me with an acceptable timeline for scheduling.  He returned the do the work over a few days as much filling, drying, and sanding was needed.  The finished product well exceeded my expectations.  All wall and ceiling damage was corrected.  It was truly a night and day difference. 
Second project: Because I was so pleased with the bedroom, Derek was rehired to paint two bathrooms.  When the first bathroom fell behind schedule, Derek had no problem adjusting his schedule around the delay.  He was able to complete both bathrooms on the new schedule and again to my liking.  I would hire him again for any painting needs and would recommend him to friends and family.

"We had an old deck that needed to be replaced.  When the old deck came down we had to do some grading of the soil.  Jim worked with us to schedule himself and the tractor work to make this happen.  The new deck exceeds our expectations.  Jim has great attention to detail and made sure that every part of the deck looked correct and pleasing to the eye.  We added string lights and outdoor lights to the project and he was happy to add that as well.  It is very hard to find people who are excited about your project and take ownership of it.  We found that in Jim and his team!  We are SUPER happy and would reccommend Jim to anyone.

He was able to repair wood siding on my house that several other contractors did not want to touch, so a positive problem solver! Window trim around a difficult to reach window in the basement was also repaired which came out perfect, as well as some rotting wood on the outside trim of the house. I would definitely recommend this contractor."
