"I had a garage door that I had built myself, 32yr ago, that was extra-tall (for my van at the time) and extra wide. It had become hard to operate and the new Genie I bought to open it failed in a week. I got a more powerful (3/4hp) Chamberlin opener and it worked OK for a couple of years, but as the door pivot mechanisms deteriorated, whenever the door got a little wet from the rain, it wouldn't open all the way. I got several estimates from different local garage door companies, but they all wanted to replace the door with segmented, metal roll-ups (which I don't like because of the overhead space they take). All except Archway. Archway suggested just replacing the pivot mechanisms, buying a 1 1/4hp Chamberlin, and they'd install the opener and the hardware for $900. Less than half the lowest estimate to replace the door. They came over about 9:30 and were done by lunch. Door works better than it every did."

He could see that because of my disability, this job had to be done right. Both high & low power electrical circuits also had to be run. After several electricians gave me estimates in the thousands of dollars, Mitch sent an electrician who charged $823.97 for this part of the job. Mitch's final price was $250 higher than the estimate, but it was required to prepare a concrete pad for the electrician. I've called Mitch several times since that first install. He carries everything he needs in a well-stocked van, so there is no waiting for parts or some special tool. He has even done welding for me. Mitch honors warranties & he is unfailingly cheerful."
