"This review is long overdue; but, after expressing numerous times to individuals the great work that Al Sanchez Construction did in repairing my home’s foundation, I finally decided to put it in writing. I have a 70 year-old home that was having recurring foundation issues and was, literally, “lopsided” in various areas. Back in February of 2012, I tried to get my house “leveled” by another company; instead, I ended up losing $11, 520 dollars to extremely substandard work. Now, fast forward to January 2018. Using Angie’s List as a resource, I contacted Al Sanchez Construction to repair and level my home’s foundation and was immediately impressed by their professionalism and honesty. The work that my home’s foundation ultimately needed was very extensive, physically challenging, and time consuming; but the extremely hardworking crew of Al Sanchez Construction knew exactly what to do! And at the end of each day, the crew always took great care in leaving the work area clean and orderly. I now have - thanks to Al Sanchez Construction - a leveled 70 year-old home with a strong, solid foundation!!! Finally!!! Thank goodness!!! "Couldn't have asked for better service. Visit for estimate was prompt and well explained. The family in the house next door to ours also contracted for the same service. Turned out that our house did not need as much sand as predicted, so the final cost was for the actual amount used -- half the estimate. The other house was much worse than ours so the final cost met the estimate but in no way was more than that. Arrival was on time, clean-up performed as promised. This is a big job that requires heavy equipment in the street but completed in one day per house so not much fuss or muss. Homeowners across the street watched the performance and are now contacting Gators to pump sand under their own houses. <br />"

"Troy came out on July 11 to look at our roof and give us an estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable about roofs and was able to quickly assess the entire roof and determine our problem. We had a leak under our carport. It appears that the roofers who installed our roof after Katrina did not lay them correctly on part of our roof - thus causing a leak. <br /> We had another company come out but they did not do the assessment that Troy did. So even though the 2nd company's bid was much less, we decided to go with Country Wide due to their knowledge. <br /> Country Wide asked for a $2300 deposit which my husband gave them. I am never comfortable about giving deposits and would prefer not to. <br /> There was difficult on getting a service date for the work to be done. This was frustrating for us as my husband and I travel a lot and we wanted to be here for the install. <br /> When we shared this with Troy, he was able to give us a date for roof repair. He commented that they were having difficulty getting the shingles. But Troy later called and stated he found some and the instillation was scheduled for later that week. <br /> On the day of install....they arrived on time and the crew seemed to know what they were doing. Additionally, they cleaned up very well after. <br /> My husband and I are very pleased with the quality of work and would recommend them to anyone needing a roof repair or replaced. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The job went a little longer than expected and I found some workmanship issues after they left. I sent a letter to E.C.O. expressing my issues and expecting them to be fixed. <br /> I was contacted buy E.C.O. buy phone to set up a appointment to resolve these issues at my convenience. <br /> The work was completed to my satisfaction. <br /> Here are some of the issues: <br />                                             :  Caulking at bottom of doors incomplete or not done correctly. <br />                                             :  Molding not lined up at corner or not cut properly to floor molding. <br />                                             :  Scratched sideing at outlet opening on back house. <br />                                             <br />"

"I live in a 1500 sq.ft. house with a front porch that spans the width of the house, a side entrance/porch, and a rear entrance all made of lumber that was falling apart.  I needed to get them all replaced.  After speaking with a couple of handymen that had looked at what I wanted, I was getting a bad feeling that I'd be let down.  I was already spending a lot of money, and I wanted the job to be done professionally.  I saw A-1 had gotten good reviews on Angie's List and gave them a call. <br /> From the very start, everybody was knowledgeable and professional. When Colin came to see what I wanted done, I was reassured as he had answers to all my questions.  If there was something I asked that he didn't know right off, he made sure to find the answer as soon as he could. The work that the A-1 team did was beyond my expectations. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the way each deck board was cut, to the way deck post caps were cut perfectly to mold against the house. The three stairs are built flawlessly. They budgeted the right amount of people and finished the job in under two weeks. They even cut the existing lattice work perfectly to match the new stairs and paved the main entrance for cosmetic reasons.  Again, far beyond my expectations. <br /> I've had several repairs and one big renovation on my home previously.  This was the first time I used a company rather than an individual or handyman.  Yes, I probably ended up paying around 10-20% more than I would have with a handyman, but it is absolutely worth every penny considering the problems I've had in the past with work quality, assurance, and professionalism.  From now on, I'm going to do myself a favor.  Next time I need a repair or renovation on my home, I'm going to wait a little longer to save a little more money and go with A-1.  I highly recommend them, especially for the bigger jobs."
