Claude was professional and extremely proficient. I appreciated that he took the time to explain his process and how it would benefit the tree. "Every year around this time I need trimming services to make for a clean appearance of my yard and make the trees and shrubs ready for the spring growing season. And every year, A Able Tree Service is my first choice to do these tasks. I would recommend not waiting until the last minute to call if you need trimming and yard cleanup work. This company is very much in demand so I recommend calling John at least a month in advance to schedule your appointment. In my case, I had inquired on December 21, 2014 to find out what was available and the first available time slot was on January 25, which is the date I agreed to. This high customer demand is a testament to the quality of work that A Able performs. As usual, John arrived and for a few minutes we discussed everything I wanted done in the front and back yards. His crew then goes to work. The work took about 45 minutes to complete. I like to watch what they are doing and they are more than willing to cut off an extra palm frond or trim a little more in certain areas if I ask them. The cleanup job is always impressive as the crew makes sure to remove all leaves, twigs and other debris with their leaf blowers in all areas. "Desert Gardens was one of several companies we contacted for estimates about doing a major cut-back of our new yard, which had previously been kept in a more overgrown state than we like. They were the most responsive and professional of all the companies contacted. The estimate was for $200 and it came in slightly higher because they needed to repair a drip valve and we did not have the part. We had the choice of them hauling the trash for an additional $65 or just leaving it bundled for our regular trash pickup. We chose the latter, though it turned out to be more trash than our company would collect on a single day and had to spread it out over a couple of pickups. DG employees worked for a little over 2 hours to cut back two desert palms, a mesquite tree, several fruit trees and about two dozen other shrubs and plans. They asked questions about what we wanted, explained why they did what they did when questions (for example, they left one of the fruit trees bigger than I wanted so that it doesn't stunt the growth but told me when it would be best to trim it further), and left everything in great shape. Part of our yard was nearly inaccessible, and now it can easily been seen and enjoyed."
