We are a home maintenance company. We do handyman services, painting, accent walls, pressure washing, property preservation/ maintenance, LVP flooring, backsplashes, cabinet hanging, small tile jobs, hardware, customizations, interior trim carpentry / unattached sheds ( she / he sheds, privacy/ custom fences. We can change toilet parts, and bath / kitchen fixtures. We can do non-structural deck work/ maintenance. * Note: We don’t do plumbing, electrical, or structural woodworking. We don’t do stone countertops ( but we can do Formica, butcher block, or wood customizations / fabs. Text or call and we will see what you have, and if we can do it. We are insured and workman comp. exempt. We have no hidden agendas. What we say we do, and we do it with passion. We aim for satisfaction for the customer first and foremost. If the customer is happy then we are happy. If you aren’t happy then we aren’t happy. We always go above and beyond. We pride ourselves on steady communication, and always having a mutual understanding with a customers end goal in vision. "BEWARE!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!! Was hired to do a job before Thanksgiving and due to lack of ability to consistently show and do their job, this is what my Thanksgiving with family consisted of, thanks to the handyman not finishing a job he started. All communication ceased and he didn’t return, now I am left to look at this horrible job and will now have to find a company willing to come work behind a shotty handyman. I am a firm believer that his reviews are not really customers because this was unprofessional and unbecoming of a business owner. Trustworthy is not a word Task Guru should ever use. My cabinets have been cut and I have been left with lights that are inconsistent in size. I have holes in my walls and they took my face/switch plates and even my switches to where I can’t even operate my dining room light. I have offered chances for them to come complete the job and even requested the return of my switches my either bringing them or me picking them up....crickets..."

"2020 has passed and we couldn't be happier with our completed first floor project, thanks to Jim Rutherford Construction. Jim was willing to tackle what other local well known contractors were either unwilling to consider or bid so high as to be unaffordable. Our project proved to be a technical challenge from the onset, raise the ground floor by almost a foot of concrete, completely rebuild the first floor by installing 3 impact French doors, 3 impact doors and 4 impact windows, cut off support an internal staircase including modifying framing around a dumbwaiter, reframe and replace every exterior wall from 4' down. Plus an added surprise rebuilding and repairing 45' of a heavily spalled concrete tie-beam in less than a week. We're still amazed at how quickly and confidently Jim set about taking on the project, he seemed to have it figured out before we even committed to getting started. He knew just right carpenters and subs to assign the work to. Once they began, they never stopped till the project was completed. Workmanship was outstanding, inspections were a breeze. I commend Jim and his crew for the quality of work and attention to detail, no shortcuts taken, stainless hardware/fasteners throughout and only pressure treated lumber. Add them all up and we have a completely new remodeled permitted downstairs ready to withstand the elements. It is without hesitation we'd recommend Jim Rutherford Construction for any project or home construction. Professional, polite and a pleasure to do business with."
