"Excellent company! Before the project started, I received 2 quotes. Both quotes were equal. I was impressed with both companies, but I selected Jose based on my gut feeling. I couldn't be happier! The job lasted 1.5 days. The crew of 4 showed up on time both days. Promptness to me is very important, as well as safety. All face plates were removed, furniture was covered and protected. I have 15 ft. ceilings, so while 1 guy was cutting in around the crown molding, another guy was holding the ladder. Safety first! I was very impressed with the focus they placed on safety. They were here 1.5 days and only took 1 break, which was lunch on the first day! This crew was very friendly and worked the entire time. They were very meticulous and really took pride in their work. "Marco hired 3 other painters to assist. Did the 3000sqft house in 2 days. Had one incident were a 16" roller came off the frame causing paint spill on hardwood floor and dining room chair and table legs. Cleaned up spill, but still find paint on those items. Also they used water to clean up the spill which caused the flooring to warp. Found paint on the back of a sofa, which Marco clean as best he could. The sofa was not near a wall, so not sure how it got there. Found a small section of wall in a bedroom that was not painted. As time goes on we are finding paint splatters all over the house. The painting of the walls looks good, but neatness needs to improve tremendously. I will not hire his service again."

"First let me state that this review is way too late being written and I sincerely apologize for that. Mark headed up this effort and his crew came in, did the job professionally, fast and a good job. I'd recommend Lester's Painting to anyone and would definitely use them again. Mark is just an amazing person to work with and once we finish all of our decorating we intent to invite him over for drinks to see the finished apartment. (Mark, we're getting there, haha!) As I stated in the "what work was done" section this was a complex and very detailed interior paint requirement and the execution here was AMAZING! Metalics, various colors, contrasting ceilings, trims, doors and accents! Work done was at a fair price, impressive results and we are beyond pleased with it all! Family and friends have been blown away by the scheme and while that requires good planning (my amazing wife's tastes!) it needed perfect execution - and Lester's deliver 110%! Great people, great work, fair price - You won't find a better company in our opinion so go ahead and request a quote for your job! -- This ends the review of Lester's Painting -- the following is a side note. The following is NOT a review of Lester's themselves but a lesson to be learned if you read this review. That lesson. Stick with the services Lester's will do and plan jobs outside that scope with another professional... There was only a single issue (OF NO FAULT OF LESTER'S OR MARK HIMSELF) - one of the painters (very talented) who was supposed to come back and do a side project (and at the same time do the final touchup of paint). He worked incredibly hard to complete the task in one evening but was only able to complete about 80% of the wallpaper and never replaced or painted the baseboards he removed as part of the effort. Despite being paid for the entire job with the agreement he'd return attempts to reach him to arrange the completion were ignored and he would not respond. We'll finish this up soon, the paper, replacement of baseboards and painting of those to match. So again, just a lesson to us and maybe someone who thinks about odd jobs that are slightly out of scope --NOT a fault of Lester's painting, though."

The pressure washing was complete and thorough.  It was neither rushed nor haphazard.  Inclement weather required that Mike stand down for several days, but at the first opportunity he and his crew of five experienced painters arrived on the job.  This rather surprised me because on five different house painting occasions (here and elsewhere) one painter and his assistant took several days, even weeks to do the job. This large crew began and completed the job in one day. One day!

Anyway, this crew of five immediately fell to, with some painting door trim, some painting window trim, some painting the tall wooden chimney and the others on the house proper.  I can think of several words to describe these craftsmen.  They all were personable, neat, workman-like, courteous, and appeared to be having fun.  In a word they were gentlemen.

A note about our house.  It is a pseudo log cabin common in this area of the North Carolina mountains.  The logs consist of rectangular 6"x12" pine painted grey and separated by a 3" white "plastic" chinking material.  This repetitive separation of colors made their job difficult and slow.  Use of painter's tape was inappropriate so every color separation had to be accomplished by hand... and this was done magnificently. Their thoroughness can be illustrated by their treatment of the chinking.  Since its original application in the late 90's it had never been painted.  So imagine our surprise when Mike and the crew painted the chinking with a brilliant white concrete stain. Made it look like new, added hours to their job and beauty to our home.

I called Mike for an estimate and he responded promptly. Since I am wheelchair-bound my son went over what we needed. Not only did this estimate include the work, but all paint and all other materials. After reviewing the job an estimate was provided the same day.  It was several hundreds of dollars cheaper than the next lowest estimate. Incidentally, door weather stripping was repairable and paintable, however Mike chose to replace it with new.  This was not included in his original estimate, but he refused to accept additional compensation. He stuck to his initial estimate--to the penny.

After accepting  the estimate we were placed on Mikes work schedule. He called before arriving for pressure washing and painting As stated rainy weather delayed painting, but this was a necessary delay.  There is no complaint about responsiveness or punctuality.  Mike responded promptly and came when he said he would. Can't ask for better than that.

As to quality of work, it is superb.  I am unable to view the entire house, but three highly critical individuals have gone over  every square foot.  These are my wife, my son and his wife.  All were extremely pleased.  And believe me, if my wife and daughter-in-law aren't happy, no one is happy. They found no fault with anything.  No trampled flowers.  No missed spots.  No sloppy work.. And very important,  a complete and proper clean up. My wife says that the crew seemed to do their best to please and that the house looks better than it did when new.

In short, these guys were complete professionals.  Mike  showed his trustworthiness and I would feel no qualms about referring him to anyone. We have nothing but compliments for Mike's Painting and Pressure Washing.
