"Grass Masters has been doing our weekly lawn mowing for the last two years. They've done a nice job, and overall we've been pleased. Recently, however, after a period of rain, I believe they missed one of the weekly cuts. The lawn clearly did not get mowed on the regular day, and I expected them to come out later in the week to make it up, but there was no evidence they ever did. They just came on the next regularly scheduled day. It was fine that they skipped, grass was very long but not an eyesore, however when we got the next bill, they charged us for the skipped day. We called to question the charge and spoke to Steve, who insisted that the lawn had been cut. "It would have looked like a jungle if it hadn't," was his retort, and he wouldn't remove it. I was disappointed in his response, that he took his crew's word over ours and wouldn't even consider removing the charge. Even if the lawn had been cut, it certainly was not to our satisfaction; it was a $50 charge for essentially nothing (we can always tell when they've been out, even if we aren't home when they show up; the lawn looks good). So my advice if you hire them is to carefully watch your bill, and call immediately if they don't show up on their scheduled day, even if it's a rain day, and find out when they are coming to make it up."
