"These guys are terrible! After paying their fees for two years, they refused to come back and exterminate for Voles. They had twice tried and twice failed. We sold the house but I asked them to try one more time. They said they'd only come back if we agreed to another contract at our new house. Seriously? Too many options in the overloaded pest industry, don't use these losers."

Full Service Pest Control. No cancellation fee's!

"Over the few years I have had Alpine Pest Control service my yard/ house I have been pleased with the results of the treatment and customer service, but I have never been happy with the way they schedule appointments and the last minute notifications. A postcard arrives in the mail announcing they will be coming to treat my house either the day before or after the treatment has been provided. Never enough time to plan for them to come and be in my home when they arrive. This last February I called to avoid a similar scheduling conflict and scheduled for a specific day. The postcard arrived with a different day and it was the next day so I called in to cancel the postcard appointment and confirm my phone call appointment was still an option. I was told the phone call appointment would still be available and the postcard appointment would be canceled. Upon arriving home the next day- I found an invoice in my door for a service that had been performed. The service was only able to treat the front of my house because my backyard is locked down and the inside of my house was not treated. I called to find out why they came and treated when we had canceled it. An apology was given and my original phone call appointment was confirmed for a few days out. Unfortunately, the phone call appointment was canceled due to weather and rain. So we rescheduled for a month later. In the mean time, I was charged for the service performed for the front of my house. One month later, I was ready for them to arrive knowing that rain was a possibility that day. With 15 minutes left in my two hour window and no rain at my house, I received a phone call canceling due to weather. I was not happy that they waited so long to cancel despite no rain at my house. I asked for a refund from the original postcard appointment and explained that I was going to find another service provider. The refund was never given. After several phone calls with the office and Kent, the owner/manger, I was told that the rain was out of their control and therefore not responsible to provide a refund. I tried to explain again the entire last two months of mishaps and that I never received a full service. Kent apologized but said that according to their records, I have received the re-service along the way. Very frustrating that my preplanning for an appointment so I could prep my house and be there at the time of service was not taken into account. It the past, I have overlooked the scheduling issues. I have flexed and worked around their last minute notifications, but this time I was just done."

FAQs for termite pest control service projects in Layton, UT

Termite infestations display clear warning signs. Home inspections reveal mud tubes connecting wood to subterranean nests, visibly damaged or hollow wood, clusters of discarded termite wings, and areas where paint bubbles or buckles. These indicators alert homeowners to early termite activity and potential structural damage, signaling the need for a prompt professional evaluation.

Termites do not commonly bite humans or pets, but it is possible. Even if termites bite you, you aren't likely to notice or be bothered by it because their jaws are so small. If you have bug bites and aren’t sure where they are coming from, you may have another type of insect infestation. Find a local bed bug exterminator as soon as possible if you think you might have bed bugs in your home.

Many homeowners' insurance policies do not cover termite damage. Check with your insurance agent or review your policy to be sure, but it is unlikely that it is covered. However, because termite inspections are often free, you can get an annual inspection and treat problems affordably before they get out of hand.

Termites zero in on cellulose, so anything made of wood—siding, framing, or that backyard deck—can lure them in. Soft or damp lumber is an even bigger magnet, which is why leaks and high humidity spell trouble. Seal and treat exposed wood, fix plumbing leaks quickly, and keep crawl spaces dry to make your home less appealing to a wandering colony.

A termite bond is a service agreement that guarantees coverage against termite treatment costs and lasts for one to three years. These bonds secure zero additional extermination expenses during the covered period and allow for reactivation after expiration with a fee. This agreement protects homeowners from unexpected treatment costs following an infestation.
