The only thing I did not like that much was that they used the fabric covers (big sheets of fabric) to cover the floor and they were pretty dusty (I guess from their previous work). "Working with Monks was an absolute pleasure. Our full bathroom renovation needed to be completely wheelchair accessible, so we’re very happy we chose Monks! Starting in the design showroom, Lucia Mastronardi carefully hand-selected several styles of tile and coordinating cabinets to help us narrow down our overall design, all the way down to the accessible hardware. Her 3D renderings illustrated the project beautifully, which made any further choices so easy. Once we’d decided on our design, we loved that our project team came back a second time to double-check all measurements before ordering materials or beginning demolition. We also agreed to a very thoroughly priced out invoice prior to starting work. Joe Corticada headed up project management along with Jose Roca. They were both so helpful and very respectful of our home, keeping us updated throughout our project. We had a few unexpected changes to the project scope due to our slab foundation style, but they handled those issues quickly and efficiently. We were able to live comfortably alongside construction as the team made sure to lay down drop cloths, tape off closets, and clean up each day. Every time we had questions, Joe was easy to reach and always put our minds at ease. Our finished bathroom is everything we’d imagined! We have a gorgeous roll-in shower and accessible floating vanity with beautiful modern tile and accessories throughout. We will absolutely call Monks for our next project!"

"Hector and his crew were fantastic and highly professional. I started with hiring his team to paint a hallway, but he did such a maticulous job that I decided to use him for a variety of other things including painting our bedroom, and then our living room. His team is always neat and tidy leaving no trace once they are finished, and they even accomodated for our two dogs. I have a before and after photo of a big crack in my wall foundation that he made dissapear in my hallway and it is truly unbelieveable. I am in the process of hiring him again to do our external painting, he is truly reliable and genuinely a great guy to work with. I highly recommend Hector and even referred him to my (real estate property owning) father who now uses him as his primary painter."

"We were not pleased with the work of this company.  While the price is right, there were so many things that went wrong on the job that I'm not sure if I can remember all of them.
First of all, when I hire a painter, my assumption is that they will work on my job only until the project is complete.  This was not the case.  The painters left the job for days on end, being called to other locations.  The work was sloppy in numerous places - we had to keep calling them back to correct things.  I also had bedroom furniture damaged when the workers moved my end tables to another room - they didn't take the care necessary to protect them.  Walls under light covers/cable covers were not painted - they were left the original color of the rooms.  My bedroom wall has cracked in one place already - as they didn't do the repair needed in that area evidently to prevent that from happening.  Paint has chipped in other areas - something which should not happen so soon after completion.
At exterior painting they also didn't take care to protect elements of the home properly.  I had paint spatter covering newly installed railings at my front walkway, stains applied incorrectly on wood lattice which they installed (numerous empty areas - should have used a spray gun for that or painted it before installation), totally ruined my exterior balcony door with using too thick a layer of paint on it.  There were paint brush hairs all over the door as well, paint on screens (why they weren't removed or covered is beyond me), spattered paint on a custom mailbox, and the same on our house number plaque.  
There is more, but I'll just leave it at it was an extremely sloppy job which took literally WEEKS to complete and I was told it would take less than 1 week.  
While there were some circumstances that made the job take longer (some weather related and some of his workers having personal problems), the amount of errors exceeded what would be considered excusable.
The only good thing I can say is that from far away, the house looks ok and, the owner Phil (others mention a different name, not sure why) tried to be as pleasant as possible throughout this.
