"First of all, Gene was very responsive and came out to give a quote the day he called. After looking over the job two quotes were given (one to simply prep the area which is what I wanted) and two-what it would cost to do and finish the whole job. I accepted terms for prep- One of the first things I noticed was how quickly the guys wanted to get to work, even while they were getting ready to give quotes they were giving me advice on things that could screw up the project best possible outcomes-supplies I didn’t actually need - all the while raking and working! They told me they could come the following day! I had to laugh because even as they were quoting things and talking to me they were in the pit I had dug beginning to work! I had to remind them “that they were just there for a quote they shouldn’t be working yet!” ?. The guys came the next day when they said they’d be there they even called in advance to make sure that it was still OK for me. The three brothers worked together on the project were very quick brought supplies and in the end saved my back! They really went ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations- couldn’t believe it how fast efficient and fun they were! Super pleasant and really enjoyable people! I would highly recommend them to anyone ...and in fact I have been doing that by word-of-mouth all day. Very thankful to know these guys are out there! A+ plus Thanks again guys- you were my life savers on this project!"

WHO WE ARE Bella Pietra is a locally owned, licensed, bonded and insured business that fabricates and installs natural and engineered stone. We are currently based out of Salem Oregon and have been in business for a little over five years. Our lead fabricators and installers who work for us all have over ten and fifteen years in the business with others who work in the shop having a minimum of five. WHAT WE OFFER As a fabrication and installation company we guarantee high quality work at affordable prices. Turn around time is generally 5-7 business days from template to install unless there is a great deal of customization and this may delay the process by 1-2 days. In some cases the turn around time can be even shorter depending on the material and the availability of the customer. Being licensed in the state of Oregon guarantees customers to a 1 year guarantee on the installation and fabrication of the stone. Being licensed in the state of Oregon also means that we are bound by the rules and regulations of the Construction Contractors Board. The CCB requires us to carry insurance and bonds for our company to ensure the satisfaction and safety of the customer and their property.

"First of all what waste of money and time. I did all the footwork (measurement & demo) then I got reasonable price of bid. However once their templater came to do the measurements their bid price went up by ridiculous amount. I guess they assumed I was easily going to take their bid. I was able to bring down the price of their bid, even though they tried to Rip me off. I say rip off because I was able to get exact price of slabs I requested by MSI through another company that had account with MSI and I found out Bella Pietra was charging me ridiculous price. Bella Pietra informed me Calacatta Leon slabs cost more than Calacatta Laza when the main Distributor MSI informed me Leon is way cheaper than Laza. Little did Bella Pietra know I was cross checking them. I’m sharing all this details because if you go to them not knowing the facts they’re going to overcharge you and rip you off. Secondly their front office clerks to the back office installer and templater are so unprofessional and inconsistent. Our install date for countertops was on May 4 but they went ahead and postponed it to the 13th because supplies were not available and on the 13th install crew did not arrive to the job site until 1pm they worked on the job site till 3:30pm and I was told by crew leader that he had informed the office that he has an appointment (no urgency matter was mentioned by this crew ) and he was only working for two hours on Friday and he had already requested permission so his boss allowed him to leave early without completing the job. So at that point I had asked this crew leader when are they returning to complete and he said “sometime” next week. I called the office Friday after the crew left to ask when is the crew coming back to complete. At this point I was already charged full amount on this countertop. I called 3times I didn’t hear back as no one was to answer my calls. Since I didn’t hear back, I sent an email on Monday morning asking when the crew was coming back to complete however I didn’t hear back from the crew neither the front office. So I called again but no one answered my phone. Concerningly, Tuesday morning I showed up to their showroom and it was unfortunate I had to drive an hour to get hold of this company front office to get a response on when installation was going to be completed. Then despite of multiple delays and miscommunication caused by their front office, clerks were so snappy and rude.. I just wanna let you know the poor communication these guys have exhibited made this experience terribly hard to tolerate. No one wanted to take accountability but just rub in our face how busy they are. Knowing this project was not on a $300,000 property this was a $2 million property I would have thought they would be efficient and it’s very unfortunate for a high-class project these guys misrepresented Bella Pietra. Then finally they had their installer come to “complete” their job at the 11th hour. After the installation was completed, I did final inspection of their installation and the seams had proxy drips all around the corner of most cabinet/wall (poor job), they had scraped my cabinets/walls paints, they had scratches under the waterfall island countertops, they had not levelled the countertops correct where there are significantly big gaps between the countertop and the cabinet—I pointed out all these things that I discovered to the install crew leader and his response was “that’s normal”. They made it seem like I was getting this installed for free when I paid thousands of dollars. I hope Chris Bravo the owner can see this review and hope he will take better action to make a change / better professional skills in the back office and in the front office ."

We offer exclusive installation services specializing in all tile and flooring projects. Whether it’s new construction or remodel for business or residential, we’re the crew to get the job done right! Here at AMCO we dare to care about bringing forth the quality that’s worth the price!

"Alex removed and installed Travertine Tile in our Master Bathroom. His work was exceptional. He was quick to respond for my request for an estimate. After my tile came in he was quick to add me to his schedule. He picked up the tile for me. He came in on Tuesday and removed all the tile and did prep work. He came in on Wednesday and installed all the tile. He finished on Thursday by grouting everything. He kept dust to a minimum. He put down carpet protectors and floor protectors. He was quick, efficient, and did exceptional work. Additionally he is kind and pleasant to work with. I would not only use Alex again, I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anybody who needs tile work done."

FAQs for tile: ceramic and porcelain installation projects in Lebanon, OR

Labor costs for ceramic tile installation range from $3 to $15 per square foot, varying based on your location and project complexity. Basic grid patterns on well-prepared surfaces fall toward the lower end of this range, while intricate designs or installations requiring extensive preparation command premium rates. Most professionals calculate charges based on square footage rather than hourly rates, with labor representing 60 to 70% of the total project cost.

For a 1000-square-foot ceramic tile installation, expect to pay between $12,000 and $45,000 total, though most standard residential projects trend toward the lower half of this range. This breaks down to $12 to $45 per square foot for materials and labor combined. Projects of this magnitude often qualify for volume discounts, potentially reducing your per-square-foot cost, especially when using standard tile types and straightforward installation patterns.

Tile installation requires significant expertise, specialized tools, and meticulous attention to detail throughout multiple labor-intensive stages. Professionals must properly prepare surfaces, apply appropriate adhesives, precisely cut and place each tile, and finish with proper grouting and sealing. The process involves critical waiting periods between steps for proper curing. Improper installation can lead to expensive problems, including water damage, cracked tiles, and mold growth, making professional expertise particularly valuable.

The 3/4/5 rule uses basic geometry to ensure tile layouts begin with perfectly square corners. Installers measure three feet along one wall and four feet along the perpendicular wall, then verify that the diagonal between these points measures exactly five feet. This triangulation technique, based on the Pythagorean theorem, confirms right angles and helps prevent alignment problems that would become increasingly noticeable as installation progresses across the room.
