"Purchased a tile roof tune-up deal here on Angie's List, needing to get some things addressed that the home inspector identified when we were buying the place in the Fall, and the tune-up seemed like a good way to kick that off. Tony, the owner of Great Western, came out to do the tune-up; his initial inspection confirmed what the home inspector's report had eluded to (home inspectors, generally, don't walk the roof as part of their inspection), as well as a few other things that needed attention, some more critical than others. He gave me an estimate for the things requiring the most immediate attention, along with an estimate for work that would get us that he was confident would deliver another 30+ years out of the already 30+ year-old cement tile roof (and it doesn't involve a new roof!) We scheduled the immediate repair work; he and his team arrived on the appointed day, and did an amazing job of installing metal flashing in place of the cracked mortar seals around the roof vents with metal flashings, replacing broken tiles, and fixing short-cuts taken by the original tract builder, etc. We'll definitely be using them to do the long-term roof rehab when Spring rolls around!
