"They removed 2 bushes that were up on a berm in our yard; one was just woody remains of a dead bush, and the other was an ugly thinning bush. The crew dug them out, and replaced the mulch for one, and the decorative stones for the other. They also cleaned up the holes, so you never knew they were even there. Work was done quickly and clean-up was perfect."

"Todd came to my house, took the time to understand my request, wrote an estimate that time. I called the next day and accepted the estimate. The work was done in a very timely manner and to my satisfaction. <br />"

"Nick came and gave me an estimate on a Tuesday and took the trees down the next day. This was part 1 of 2. He will be installing a fence, removing a concrete patio area and fixing the really ugly flower beds. He has been very helpful through this whole process. Because of his prompt service I have hired him to do some tree work at my rental property."

"I have submitted a report previously for this company and at the time there was only a minor portion of the work to be completed.  At the time I was satisfied with the work done so far in this substantial project and so I gave them a good score.  The company had been paid for all services provided to that point.   <br /> <br /> Although they continued to say they were coming back to finish the last few items, I could not get a firm date for this work, in spite of several emails and multiple calls to them.  Finally I gave them a deadline and said if this final work was not scheduled prior to today, that I was going to get someone else to do it.  I never heard back from them on this deadline.   <br /> <br /> They should not be paid for whatever job they are doing for you until all the work is done."

"The crew showed up on the date and time promised and they were awesome! They pushed all of our existing landscaping rock back toward the house to make room for the curb machine, then pulled up and disposed of the existing edging. I even caught one of them pulling weeds from out of the rocks! :-) The job was completed in less than a day. One small problem cropped up in that a 10 foot uphill section of the curbing was slightly crooked. It took one phone call and they were back tearing it out and redoing it and it now looks great. Over the summer we did projects with 4 contractors totaling over $16,000 and this was the only contractor we would ever use again. They were wonderful and we could not be more pleased with the curbing. It keeps all of the landscaping rock where it belongs, enhances the flower beds, gives the yard a neat, well-kept look and makes mowing much easier. Owner Mark Westerman is a true professional which is very rare to find in the landscaping contractor field these days! <br />"

"Their tree selection was the best in Rochester, especially for balled and burlap trees. I wanted a tree larger than a potted tree, so we were looking in the 2and quot; diameter range and we needed two of them. Since these were for the boulevard, we had worked with the city forester to determine our options. Whiting's did offer some suggestions that were also approved by the city. We brought the two trees home ourselves and planted them, but they did have a fairly reasonable charge for delivery and plant. However, I wanted to put the money into getting larger trees, rather than paying for that service. They did an excellent job of getting the trees into the back of the pick up truck (using their bobcat) and securing it for the ride home. It was a bit of a work to get them out of the truck and into the hole, but not too difficult. <br />"

"FREE ESTIMATE: Todd was very prompt in returning my request for an estimate and came out shortly thereafter right on time as he had said. Work was started about six weeks later, which was as promised. Todd was in constant contact to keep us in the know on project start and utilities mapping activities. <br /> DAY 1: we were out of town and came home after Wes and his excellent crew had removed all the old shrubs and trees, etc. It looked like we had a brand new house...almost. Our neighbors had even facebooked how the crew had worked so hard. We were more than happy at this point! <br /> DAY 2: work continued with the installation of pavers, mulch, plantings, bushes, and sod. We had asked for additional rock removal in the back, which the crew happily accommodated, as well as sod to replace a playset we had removed, which again the crew happily accommodated. Wes asked for our input as needed, which was really appreciated. <br /> DAY 3: a bit of remaining work and full cleanup was completed (cleanup was also performed daily), and we were VERY pleased! <br /> FOLLOW-UP: Todd stopped by several times throughout the project and following completion. We discussed maintenance, and he sent maintenance plans for both the plantings and the sod, which were very clear and helpful. A thank-you-for-doing-business-with-us note was received later...what a nice touch :) Friends and neighbors continue to gasp when they see the transformation, and we cannot express how truly delighted we are every time we drive up or walk outside! <br /> Well done, Todd, Wes and crew, and Treehouse! <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Lewiston, MN

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
