"Gustavo and the team were fabulous to work with. The turnaround time was impressive, and the quality of work is stellar. Gustavo was quick to come to consult on the job and work with me to give us exactly what we needed and explained the different types of stucco and what would work best (we ended up getting traditional stucco and are so pleased with everything). We were having a lot of other work done around the house and the other contractors all commented on the great quality of the stucco work done at our house. Very pleased with ATX Stucco and Masonry, and we will definitely use them again if needed and highly recommend them to others."

"I observed some damage to my stucco exterior. It was 30 feet off the ground! Not many companies on Angies List advertise as stucco repair companies. Found this company doing research. Contacted him and he returned my call quickly. Set up time for him to come over and look at the damage I observed. Initially it looked like a small inexpensive job. That was not the case, apparently the homebuilder or whoever had done the original stucco job did it poorly. The current covering just flaked off. The owner of Austin Lathe and Stucco explained he could just patch the faulty stuff but it would not look good, the entire area needed to be redone! Well that ment getting scaffolding to reach the 30 foot high area flaking off! It took two days to complete the job and I must say it looks very well done. It was expensive but it looks better than before. This guy does quality work! <br />"

"Jeff's crew repaired stucco and repainted the exterior and trim of my house last summer. Stucco repairs had to be re-done in some locations, but they were taken care of and have held up well. Trim & gutters were neatly painted, looks great. Were responsive to touch-ups requested wtihin a month or two. Have referred them to several homes in my neighborhood."

"Andre Luna quickly diagnosed peeling/shedding/failing interior drywall and plaster as an exterior stucco issue. Cre8 identified and repaired rotting OSB and framing as well as improperly installed stucco throughout our 4700 sq ft dream home. The general contractor (KRP Construction, Lago Vista, TX) blamed his construction defect issues on a &#34;Microclimate&#34; that we created with improper temperature control inside the house for years. Cre8 debunked the inane litany of excuses the original general contractor contrived and worked diligently with our structural engineer and drywall contractor to quickly and professionally remedy the stucco wall system construction defects."

"Dustin C. @ DaBella Boise helped us choose the right windows for our application and personally monitored progress from order to completion. The finished product looks great, but the best part is instantly seeing and feeling the difference between modern tech vs. 40y old aluminum framed windows. No more drafts or condensation! Thanks DaBella!"

"Carter home and construction are the best! The team was early to arrive, clean , and ready to work. They made sure every part of the process was explained to my wife while I was at work and even bright my garbage can up from the street while they work. I would recommend the company to anybody that needs construction or home improvement"

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Liberty Hill, TX

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
