"11/04/18 I am changing this review. One of the things they did was cut off the bottom of the sliding door so it would slide easier. The work was done in August. I didn't notice until fall / winter, there was no weather striping and the wind was blowing in, actually snow was blowing in. I had to have a new sliding door installed which I did 2/22/18. I never did hear back from them about the balances for the double-hung windows. Very prompt service. I contacted them Tuesday, August 22, 2017, the sliding door was repaired the following Monday. Alex explained the repair (it needed a new track) and why it was needed. The double hung window needs new balances, Alex is checking into the part. I was very happy with their work and will recommend them to anyone who needs a sliding door repaired. I had contacted 3 other companies. One said it couldn't be fixed, buy a new door; one didn't respond; and one was to busy to handle the repair now. I am thankful Sliding Door Repair Service was able to help me. They did such an excellent job!"

"We had an exterior door to our garage that would not close/latch properly and therefore presented a security risk. I called multiple companies for quotes and explained we'd like to try repairing the door first, but are open to replacing it if necessary. Multiple other companies told us there was no other option but to replace the door. Robert's company was the last one on our list to gather a quote from. He came by the very next day after I called, immediately found core problem with the door (simple loose screws in the hinges) and fixed then and there. "I am an 80 year old veteran and the Handy Veteran Kevin asked if I would write a review. I was very pleased with all work done by Kevin and Teko. They installed new garage door, new steps from garage to first level, replaced stainless steal sink and faucet, and doorknobs throughout. Also, stopped all the floor squeaks because my house is over 50 years old. Kevin also repaired rod iron rail at the bottom of my exterior steps. Teko removed paneling and painted one bathroom and installed new stool and second bathroom with new stool and replaced all door handles. I was very pleased with all work done. Kevin and Teko were very easy to work with and I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"I obtained several quotes. Benchmark was at least $100 less than the 4 other quotes for the same door with windows, t-handle/lock, and installation/disposal.  I received a call back from John W. within 30 minutes of my initial voice mail at 4:30 on Good Friday which was totally unexpected. The following Tuesday morning I called him to say we wanted to go ahead. He came out around 4:30 that day for measurements and to sign the paperwork. I wanted a Saturday appointment since my husband would be home  to remove some canoes and kayaks we stored in the garage so the installer could access the garage door tracks. John was able to schedule us for that coming Saturday morning. He would have been able to come within a couple days if that would have worked for us. On Saturday morning the installer showed up promptly. My husband had a slow start that morning and had not moved much out of the garage by the time the installer arrived. The installer was able to work around everything (which my husband's choice, not something Benchmark recommended just in case a tool got dropped on our kayak). The job was done within a couple hours, the old door and parts were hauled away, and it looks and functions great.
John is very nice, professional, and did not pressure me into buying something I didn't want or need.  Overall the transaction went very smoothly from start to finish. I would highly recommend Benchmark for a garage door installation.
