"I just wanted to say that this company does outstanding work, I was so pleased from day one, when PJ came to look at my house, he was early !! ....and that very day shot me over an estimate, I was happy with the knowledge that he had on prep work needed to be done first so I can correct the problem I was having, ......and he was neat, dropped drop cloths so paint and or stain didn't mark up my deck, also cleaned up nicely as well, and gave me advice on what needed some attention to keep my house up on repairs........... truly i would hire him again with no hesitation, he kept it professional ..... he always got back to me if i contacted him on a question on rain or not.....showed up before 7 and worked straight through to lunch, good worker YES !"

"This was a challenging job. Our house was built in 1900, and nothing is level or plumb anymore. None of our doors fit or closed properly. Jonathan was great to work with. He was professional, came when he said he would, honored the price he quoted us, though the difficulty of the work resulted in his spending more time than he estimated, and he cleaned up at the end of each day he worked. The end product was doors which look and work great. He managed to make the doors fit into door frames which are not level or plumb, without looking crooked. I would highly recommend him for any door work, or any carpentry work. He is skilled, and very professional."

"I contacted Bill in the Spring and he gave me an estimate.  He was concerned about the switch from oil based stain to latex stain and worked with the Sherwin Williams representative to get advice on the best product to use.  He was very responsive and we communicated via email.  He told me upfront that he could do the job in august, and he was available at that time.  He was very professional and went above and beyond, pointing out areas (and replacing where he could) where wood was rotted and gutters had come loose.  He always cleaned up the area and the house looks great.  I will definitely use him again and have recommended him to several of my neighbors. <br />"

"Did not go well. I was told via the estimate and the actual work crew that the job would take about three hours. They were packing up in 1.5 hours. As it turns out, the roof was not cleaned as it should have been. It took them 2 additional visits to clean the roof. The office was great about rescheduling and having the team back out. Just wish the job could be done right the first time or even the second time. I feel like I paid for a 3 hour job and got 1.5 hours of value not to mention the amount of time I had to spend following up."

"The work was excellent, including the scraping, painting and carpentry work. The crew was thorough, pleasant to work with and very responsive to our questions and concerns. They came out several times to make sure all the old lead paint chips were removed. I️ highly recommend Northeast Remediation."

"Ed and his crew did such an excellent job on our kitchen, dining room, and deck. Ed was super responsive, and was great to communicate with through email or text. Ed was great at making recommendations while still leaving the decisions to us. The attention to detail was top notch, and Ed and Bob did an excellent job fitting up our cabinets, window, and new door, as well as the flooring and all the other details. Ed was very accommodating to changes during the job. He and his crew also got the job done quickly, which was great for a kitchen renovation. They worked hard to ensure the process was smooth and as non-disruptive as possible. Ed was onsite every day, either working alongside his crew or coordinating with contractors, and he and his crew take pride in their work. Ed works with great businesses, including Karen of Friend Lumber who was so helpful and experienced in helping us select the cabinet style and layout, and Brian of Nashua Tile who was also very helpful in helping us pick out our tile. Ed and crew were a pleasure to work with. Everyone loves our new kitchen, and we are so happy we chose Ed to be our contractor. We highly recommend him!"

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Lincoln, NH

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
