"Tom and his team did an amazing job repairing and repainting the exterior of our home. The 1880s Victorian style has cedar siding, consisting of a combination of traditional boards and cedar tiles. It had been touched up and well maintained over the years, but no extensive repair or painting had been done. Many of the details, such as the trim around the windows and decorative teeth under the third floor's window trim, had chipped or fallen off. On the wall most exposed to the wind and sun, some siding required repair, a few pieces had to be replaced. Tom's team, led by Sergio, repaired/replaced boards/tiles as necessary, then sanded, primed and repainted all the siding. Their attention to detail was beyond impressive, with the window trim lined perfectly and the decorative accessories, such as the teeth, repaired to its original condition. We were most impressed with how much care the team took at sanding the cedar down to the wood before priming and repainting. The end result is siding that looks brand new. Another plus is they are reasonably priced. We received six quotes and they were in the middle of the pack. I highly recommend Fortune Restoration and Tom and his team. "after an overall evaluation of my home for more insulation, the owner saw I had an asbestos tile floor in my basement. It was removed, as well. Tubing, piping was added above the bathroom fan. It now goes outside of the attic. I will not have moisture buildup in my attic any longer. My house is noticeably comfortable, not cold and drafty any longer. "Called Pryor to get a quote on having drywall, insulation and trim replaced after having drywall cut out due to mold remediation work, after a sump pump failure. I was under a time constraint in order to get other projects completed and Ralph called and arranged a walk through. We met the following day and had a written quote in hand within a few days which we agreed to. Ralph was upfront about timing to begin the project, but unfortunately the current project his guys were working on ran over and we had to delay the start for one week. The drywall guys came as planned the following week as planned and made quick work of the project. Ralph consulted with me on the type of insulation and suggested the best, most cost effective option. The drywall guys were there for about 4 full days and they worked long days, were very tidy and the work looked great. The only thing I was disappointed with was that most of the electric outlets were too far recessed in the walls after the new drywall was installed. Even trying to adjust the boxes out was not effective. We also had an issue with 2 doors not closing properly in their jams, but Ralph sent out the carpenter out who was very mituculous about refitting the door jams and getting everything to work. And he came at 4 pm on Friday over the holidays so props for him! All in all I was very pleased with the work, timeliness, professionalism., and cost.
