""A group of vinyl-siding panels warped in one concentrated area even though there was no grill, exhaust outlet, or other obvious heat source nearby. The distortion appeared during sunny afternoons and aligned with reflected light from a neighboring high-performance window. Panels outside that narrow path remained flat. The timing and shape of the damage helped separate it from ordinary installation buckling. Surface temperatures were documented during the period when the reflection crossed the wall. Replacing the affected siding with the same vinyl could have led to another failure. The owner selected fiber-cement lap siding for that limited elevation, using trim to create an intentional transition from the remaining vinyl. Based on their stellar reviews and clean record with consumer affairs, I called Four Seasons to make an appointment and get an estimate for repair or replacement. Although it was Dec. 31, Bill showed up on time, something I have found lacking with other construction people over the years. He was cordial and knowledgeable, and not aggressively pushy. I felt comfortable. Having done my own research, I found his price to be reasonable, not the cheapest or the most expensive. My main interest was workmanship quality and over the years have found cheapest is not usually the best, nor is most expensive. His crew arrived within 10 days, and on time. Their work was one of the most professional I have ever seen. In fact, when they were finished, my property was cleaner than when they started. After they left, you wouldn’t even know they were there. The leak is repaired and the new roof is beautiful. I highly recommend them."
