"Quick response to initial phone call.  Very attentive to what we were wanting to achieve.  Proposal addressed every objective, plus added some very nice features.  Price was at the high end of the expected range, but not unreasonable. <br /> After a delay caused by wet weather, the team that did the job was totally professional.  Punctual, polite, open to suggestion.  Fixed a couple of issues quickly and with no debate.  Took about three weeks, working every day that weather allowed. <br /> We are extremely pleased with the results and happy to recommend Scott, Allen, Herb and the rest of the LA team with no reservations.  Excellent company... <br />"

"This a family business. They were super friendly from owner to workers. They arrived to take down the remaining fence that did not fall. They showed up on time (early) and when they said they would. They cleaned up all the mess of wood and cement. They started the fence with putting in the poles with cement and then came back the next day. They started putting up the fence and sent a picture to me to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it to be. Upon approval they had a very large fence put in in a day.  <br /> Their workers were friendly and very professional. <br />"

"I had planned on replacing the small wood deck and steps outside of my back door with wood until I met Ron from Solid as a Rock Landscaping.  He was doing work for a neighbor and I asked him for an estimate.  I accepted the price and to my surprise Ron and his crew started work later that day. It took them three days to complete and it looks great.  My wife and I are very happy with the job, cleanup and the people.  Thanks Ron, Mike, Mack and Malachi. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Little Rock, AR

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
