"John came out to our home and gave us an estimate within a half hour of our initial phone call. I had checked around, and the price he bid seemed reasonable. His crew started work the very next morning, ripping out the old floor, disposing of it, and prepping the ground for the new floor. They also stabilized and repositioned a couple of places where the walls had started to bulge out. They poured the concrete on Day 2, and on Day 3, came back and cut the expansion joints. John kept us appraised of the work throughout Days 1 and 2. The crew was hardworking, respectful, and skilled. I would not use anyone else for future concrete work. The only downside was that our asphalt driveway did take a little bit of a hit from the weight of the concrete truck. Alas."

"Excellent experience. Jay came within 1-2 days of my call, listened to what we wanted and told me what they would do. He was straight-forward, clear and struck me as an honest, plain-dealing person (which was borne out by the job and total experience). He supervised the start of the work done by his crew and stopped by each of the 3 days it took to jackhammer and remove the old cement and stone, pour the new path, and complete the topsoil and seed. He checked with me on design and details as the job progressed. They even covered seed with hay and set out sandbags so the soil would not be washed away in case of heavy rain. Area was thoroughly cleaned up at the end. They also did a couple of additional tasks: patched about 6-8 foot cement and stone wall with cement, and removed approximately 3X3' cement garden basin that was no longer useable. My only suggestion to Jay would be to inform homeowners on his "look at" visit to close all windows and prepare for dust from jackhammering. (This would seem obvious but I hadn't thought about it.). I was home and able to do so before work began. Jay's price was considerably lower than a paving stone path I had estimated with a landscaping firm and this cement path looks great. <br />"

After talking with the owner, who explained why the paving was done the way it was, I gave my apologies for the "C" rating last year. "John Stewart and his crew are a top-notch bunch - all of them very experienced, polite, and friendly. At his initial visit, John listened to my ideas, then gave me some suggestions, which I took, that added a lot of visual interest and elegance to the job. During the installation of a raised garden bed, expansion of another bed, edging and installing an area of river rock, edging and mulching around 7 trees, removal of 3 bushes and planting of a lilac, and leveling and seeding with grass in several places, John and members of his crew checked with me often to make sure I liked what they were doing. They worked quickly and efficiently - they were done in one day - and I was absolutely delighted by the end result. Frankly, it looked much better than I had imagined. I have another big project or two to do in this yard and will call Chittenango Landscape to do it. I have already recommended this company to friends and will not hesitate to recommend them whenever I can."
