When he came in to give me an estimate he was very kind, professional, and very attentive on what I wanted to be accomplished. Once he came in he did a magnificent job he was on time, responsible, detailed oriented, overall great work ethic through the project. A few examples include complete wiring of a weld shop that I built for fabrication.  They sat down with me and we discussed any ideas I had and then they made suggestions using their extensive experience to help me get what would function the way it should be.  They got to work and finished the job in what I considered amazing time at a very fair price.  Along the job there were some changes that became aware about functionality and they adapted like nothing was a problem and gave me complete satisfaction.  The shop has been used now for maybe 8 years with no trouble whatsoever and I have comfort to know it was wired to be safe and everything that was done was assured to have the right size wire, switches, plugs and breakers.

Another example of a few smaller jobs was one where a circuit of plugs stopped working in one home bedroom.  Barry and his crew started the trouble shoot in the attic and worked their way down to the bedroom itself.  They then diligently checked each plug along the circuit and finally found where a wire had shorted and was no longer making contact.  Unfortunately, the day before I was changing some plugs hot and had shorted out a plug with my screwdriver.  Even though that plug kept working it had caused the short in the plug down line.  It turned out to be my fault but they knew how to check other places.

A recent job on a rental property was having intermittent power problems in an all electric home.  The problem was so random it did not provide much evidence of any failure.  Again Barry and his crew went to work like robots checking every step of the way plugs, switches. connections, and then breakers.  Finally, they  found a breaker was weak so not tripping and had broken off inside the rail in the breaker box.  They got a new breaker and in style saved me money by re-routing the breaker to another open slot in the breaker box.

Just know Activate Electric, Barry Crouch and his team are ready to save you money, do a thorough safe job in as short of time possible and if you can't smile once they are done and paying them for the great work they do let them know what is wrong and they will do anything possible to make you happy.  Trust me, I am just a customer and not paid for this and have no family or professional connection with their company, they are just a pleasure to deal with.

"Jim Benton of Country Boys Electric came out the day after my call for a bid.  He walked through our shell of a log cabin in the woods, was very thoughtful, made many great suggestions about where to put lights and plugs, described the work they would do and within a few days we has his written bid.  We liked and trusted Jim immediately and they started to work in a few days.  His workers were very professional, arrived on time, worked well with us.  They did all the wiring and then had to wait about a month for the sheetrock and painters to do their work.  We called them back and they were ready to install lights and fans and finish the job.  We were so please with their work.  They were very reliable and on time, even though they had to drive 40 miles from their shop to our place each day.We would highly recommend them to others.

"I couldn’t be more pleased with the work that Cody and Nolan did for me. They updated my wiring and my panel box. Everything was so professionally done ! What a relief to hire someone who takes pride in their work. I can actually move through my attic without tripping over wires! They are fast but mindful of the task and you could easily leave them alone to go to work and not have to wonder! His work speaks for the pride he has for what he does and for his integrity. No cutting corners with Cody. He fixed what others before him had done incorrectly. He communicated with me through the whole process especially when he found discrepancies! Being informed was great. His cost for of the job was very reasonable . I feel like my electrical in this house is solid and safe because of the work that they performed. Cody knows his stuff. Hire a LICENSED professional for your safety and peace of mind. It was money well spent for the results I got from Cody.👍👏"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Livingston, TX

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
