This drastically increases the cost per pound of refrigerant by 10x. You can literally buy 410a refrigerant for $10 per pound (see attached) but they wanted to charge $151 per pound with all the costs rolled in. The insurance company then says....we only pay the market rate of $10/pound for refrigerant and I have to pay the difference. Which means the insurance company only covers 10% of the repair. The woman said because I went thru insurance they had to do it this way and could give me a time/material quot"
