"I'm so happy with my roof. <br /> I have been watching it rain and see absolutely no drips, runs or issues!  The solar tubes were installed with expert care.  <br /> One of my solor tubes had an issue, so instead of installing it, they informed me and gave me the option to get a new one. <br /> Wayne and crew were great.  They were flexible to my schedule, and were easy to work with. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Response was excellent. They have a long backlog so had to wait a while to get on the calendar... but as soon as I engaged them they had a team come over and create a temporary solution until they could make it out to put on the real roof. Once my roofing day arrived they had the entire re-roof complete in 1 day AND they removed all debris associated with the project. Fantastic company!"

"The company was very informative and efficient, and we are happy with both the aesthetic and practical results. We are also happy to have a greater sense of security about the danger posed by fire, which has been a worry because we live in a forested area far from emergency services. The workers were polite and professional and cleaned up the site pretty well. It was expensive, but we're very satisfied with the work."

"Our roof was leaking and I called one of the local roofing companies. They never showed up. Then I did Angie's list search and decided to go with Clark's Roofing. He came out, looked at the roof and was ready to start the job immediately. He explained what needed to be done and gave a job quote within a day. His team replaced the roof/gutters within a week in a frigid cold weather (it was January). They cleaned up everything. The roof looks great! Thank you. <br />"

"He did this the very day that I asked him to. I didn't get any comparisons for the pricing. I have not been up on the roof to check the quality because it's 4 hours from me and I haven't been back. I would use him again for an emergency because he is the fastest. He seemed very professional."

"They knew that I wasn't going to use they're service right now because my roof is a "hot mop" type, and they don't do those any more. |But they spent half an hour on the phone with me, and because I am an old carpenter, they were able to tell me exactly what to do, and how to do it. |Very nice people to do me a favor like that. |I will need a new roof in a few years and there is no doubt in my mind who will be doing it. | Tim in Moses Lake"

"Mr. Haas identified problems in our roof installation and issued a report. He suggested re-install and steps that we should take to get it done. It was a long process that involved county and DPOR. Mr. Haas was very helpful every step during the entire process. He is highly experienced and very responsive to our calls, text, and email. We eventually got the roof reinstalled in a very good quality. Mr. Haas was onsite multiple times to ensure the right materials and methods were used. It would not be possible without the help from Mr. Haas."

"I am extremely happy with the work performed. They were on time, professional and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again. The whole house, including new skylights, was done in two days as promised. From quote to getting the job done was ten days. The crew was also neat and tidy, cleaning up all debris. Most or all of the plywood was replaced along with my choice of the color of roofing shingles. They also used a drone to show the damage the weather had done to the old plywood and used the drone for all parts of the work! This was great as this was our beach house and we were unable to be on the job site."

"It went very well. From the bid and actual install the process it was done very professionally. Darrell Collins was our company contact and project manager. He was very knowledgeable and courteous in his business manner. I would highly recommend him for any roof project. <br /> The 7 man crew did the installation like a well oiled machine. It was obvious that they all knew their individual jobs and they all worked extremely hard. Great work ethic and they all helped anyway possible to make sure the job was done like I wanted it. <br /> The project was complete in one day. Cleanup and all!! <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Long Beach, WA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
