"I hired Jovel to build stairs, retaining walls and planters connecting my existing patio to a new patio that I also hired Jovel's company to build. The stairs, retaining wall and planters were completed in September. In October, I had a licensed inspector at my home for another project and he pointed out that the stairs Jovel had built did not meet code. The inspector stated that stairs must be of equal rise and the lower and upper stairs were not in acceptable range with the other two. He also stated that three or more stairs required a handrail and that the stairs were POOR construction. Jovel has refused to correct the issue or refund any money paid. The gentlemen he brought with him to do the digging and installation were a great group of guys. They were quick, professional, and cleaned up everything after they were done.
