"My husband and I have lived in our lovely brick home in Raleigh for 40 years. Our home was built utilizing reclaimed antique brick. The original 4 steps on the front porch were crumbling, due to the age of the bricks, compounded by full sun exposure. We also have two piazzas with intricate patterned hardscape and paths that needed repairs, due to age. Via Home Advisor we were fortunate to find Alvin Privette. Alvin took one look at our front stairs and immediately told us how he was going to repair them. He dismantled all the stairs and reclaimed the brick. He opted to do the center core of each step in cement block for added stability. After three days work the front steps are now perfectly repaired. He redid all the hardscape pavers, that had become misaligned over the years. He chiseled out and replaced the antique brick that had begun to crumble on the vertical walls of our home. Alvin and his crew started early Monday, March 6th, by Wed, March 8 all the work (and it was a LOT of work) has been expertly completed. Our home looks better today, then when we bought it new 40 years ago!!! The crew Alvin has assembled are top notch! They have been with him for more than 30 years. Each day, they arrived on time and flew into action. Every man has his own skill set, they work together cohesively, respectfully and with humor. When they left each evening, after putting in long, long hours, they left our home and garden immaculate. Alvin's prices are more than fair, if anything considering his expertise and experience and the skill level of his team, he under undercharges. The entire team is courteous, hard working and professional. They are all SKILLED craftsmen. We are so extremely pleased with their work. These folks walk on water!!!!
