"This was one of the best experiences I have had with getting work done at my house. From the ordering of the cabinets to the installers, Jon and Tony, everything was top rate. The communication was excellent! They were polite, efficient, cleaned up daily and were perfectionists. We will definately use them again and recommend them with the highest rating that's available."

"Before you hire Sears Home Improvement (aka **Transform**), you should first understand and consider just how poorly this company treats its customers. Please understand that hiring this company will certainly result in an excruciatingly painful project. I would neither wish nor recommend this negative experience to anyone. I hired this company to remodel my kitchen. Here are some data points from my project: - The project started 66 days after my contractually promised a start date. No communications were given by a project coordinator to indicate delays, leaving me wondering if/when the project would start at all - When the project finally began, a subcontractor showed up and worked for 3 days to completely demolish my old kitchen, and partially install new cabinets. They left me with nothing functional. - The company then proceeded to leave me stranded for an additional 76 days with no sink, and no way to cook for myself. - They failed to meet their obligation to install a temporary sink (as promised in our contract) and missed their obligation of **substantial project completion** by 61 days. - They refused to complete 2 major scope items (plumbing and electrical work) approximately 100 days into the project, citing information available to them on the first day I signed their contract. They initially offered me credits for only half the cost to cover these items elsewhere, forcing a week-long negation process. The subcontractor who actually did the work in my home was fantastic. However, the company overall caused me so much pain and suffering that my new kitchen is not even worth the final end product."

"We hired Uncle Brian for two master bathroom remodeling projects. They are both beautiful, functional, and within budget, despite my lofty ideas. He gave us great advice, helped us with decision making ,and created bathrooms that look like they're out of a home magazine, but without the price tag. He is absolutely the best contractor we've ever worked with. Brian and his crew do thorough, excellent work and they clean up after themselves. Brian is very responsive with communications. He is transparent, honest, extremely hard working, and will be the first person we call for our next remodeling project."

"M&E ruined our brand new and very expensive deck because of the inferior product they recommended as a "stain". Within months the product began bubbling, cracking, and peeling. And the stain job was never right from day one...M&E and their workers seemed puzzled by how many coats it took to complete the job, which took longer than expected, and still there remained some areas that were unevenly stained. And, no prep work whatsoever (sanding etc.) was done. Then the cracking began, and now the stain even brushes off with the simple sweep of a broom. It is clear that the wood was not stained, but more like painted. We located a detailed evaluation of this product which concluded "Benjamin Moore’s Arborcoat is prone to peeling in cold weather states...and did not perform well on a newly built deck". It was also stated that within months "the Arborcoat had peeled significantly on the brand-new pine deck. Patches of the finish had peeled off the wood in strips. You could peel back large sections of stain with your fingers. The product did not seem to have penetrated into the wood at all." M&E initially responded by coming back on two separate occasions to paint over the areas that had peeled away, which was completely ineffective and did nothing to prevent future deterioration. M&E offered to come out a third time, which we initially declined. As matters continued to worsen, we contacted M&E once more, upon which they responded "You left this issue to get worse and not be addressed when we were willing to address it, and due to this, that issue is now between you and the manufacturer". M&E, I'm sure if you had come out a third time, our problems would be magically solved? So I guess it's our fault now. We trusted M&E to recommend the right product for the job, based on their experience, but they failed, and now we will have to pay another company thousands more $$ to refinish the deck using a suitable stain, since M&E has not offered to do so. Or, maybe I should be thanking M&E for going beyond the call of duty to come up and paint over a few cracked spots, since they do not warranty decks. Lesson learned and buyer beware!
