He explained in detail what treatments he was going to put on the lawn. Matthew did a very thorough job making sure he treated all areas of our lawn. Rutland Turf has some very good equipment for their techs to use, and Matt was adept at using the ride-on lawn spreader/sprayer. We're very pleased with his work today! We have a small landscaping project that we'll be contacting Rutland about. After seeing the quality of their work today, we won't hesitate to have them give us a price for another project."

"We used this company a few years ago and had a good experience. This year they came out and gave us a quote for a lawn program. We paid in advance for the aeration/overseeding and all the fall lawn treatments and then never heard back from the company. After a few weeks we called the business line and the owner/manager's cell phone and he never called us back. We called both more than once and even told the receptionist that we were going to have to cancel the service and ask for a refund and he did not call us back. Finally we cancelled the service and asked for a refund. Now it's probably too late to hire someone else. Very disappointing."

"Ron got back to me immediately after my initial call and came to the house within a week to discuss what we’d like done. We received a cost and scheduling estimate within a few days. The work took about a week. Ron and his team removed all of the existing beds and the red maple in front, regraded the yard, installed an irrigation system, hydroseeded the new lawn, built new beds at the front of the house and planted new shrubs. The results were amazing and we couldn’t have been happier. Two years later, this summer, we discovered an issue with our septic system that would require about a third of the front yard be excavated. Needless to say this was very upsetting given the amount of work that had just been put into improving the yard. Luckily Ron was there to save the day. Ron worked with the excavating company to identify the critical parts of the irrigation system would be impacted and dug them up just ahead of the excavation work. Within a week of the completion of the excavation work Ron had regraded the repaired the irrigation system, excavated area, spread new loam and hydroseeded. Just a few weeks later and our yard is starting to look like our yard again. I couldn’t recommend Ron more highly."

"I first contacted Arborway Tree Service late last year to have them look at the large Oak tree in my side yard. I wanted to know if the tree was in good condition (I had just moved into the house the year before) or if it would eventually have to be removed. This would have been a large undertaking since the tree is about 40 feet tall, and covers a good part of the yard. They came out and told me that I had a beautiful, healthy Red Oak tree. They did a root fertilization on the tree for the winter. I contacted them again this past summer about pruning the tree. It had a lot of dead wood and had grown over the telephone wires and the roof. I hired them to do the pruning. They came out a couple of weeks ago. They went right to work. They pruned quite a bit of the tree, going up into the tree, walking on branches to reach the areas to be cut, and mulched it all in a wood chipper. I am very happy with the way the tree was pruned and with the way the men just went to work and completed the job. I would definitely use them again. I really like the tree and hope to keep it around for a long time"

"Overall it went incredibly smoothly.  I placed a call to them in early December.  They had a person come out to take a look at the work we needed to have done the next day.  We received an estimate within the week and the work was done within the next few days.  This company is highly professional and very competent.  I would recommend them very highly for tree work.  In addition, I've worked with them in the past when I owned my own home to routinely fertilize the trees and shrubs on my property."

"Dan worked with me for quite a while beforehand on design, and had a lot of really great ideas about how to address specific problems and plant choice. He also made a number of recommendations for how best to maintain it going forward. He was able to work within our budget, and even did a few extras (such as creating a planting bed around our mailbox) simply because he wanted the end result to look as nice as possible. <br /> <br />  I have included 4 pictures from before and 6 from after -- Angie's doesn't let me add captions or order them, so the hideous ones are from before the project and the great-looking ones are from after. <br /> <br />  I highly recommend Dan and his team. One of our primary reasons for doing the work was for curb appeal -- we knew we would be selling our house within a year or two. When we put our house on the market earlier this summer it sold in 3 days! Dan deserves a good chunk of the credit for that because the outside looked beautiful! Dan was the first person I called about maintaining the landscaping at our new house."
