"There were some glitches but overall the company tried to do a good job. Although they listed Palm Beach as a service area, they called the wrong town for the permit, and did not really understand the Town of Palm Beach's strict requirements. However, they stuck with the job. The water heater and required auto-cutoff valve passed inspection. The final installation looks very professional and well done. The lack of coordination did waste a lot of my time (days) and did cause me to make extra trips to my condo. But, it was done right. One word of advice, I was told that I was getting an AO Smith unit. However, the nameplate indicated another brand. I verified that the brand was manufactured by AO Smith, so the promise was half-kept. I suggest that the sales person clearly specify not only the manufacturer, but also the brand in the future. I consider my acceptance to be an accommodation to the company. After all is said, I would invite this company to propose a plumbing job again, but would carefully evaluate the proposal."

"Perfect job in every way.. Edgar was super competent and efficient.....and couldn't have been nicer. He arrived 15 minutes early, identified the issue, brought a cool bright light to show me exactly what was leaking, that he had the parts with him and said he could complete the whole job in about 20 minutes or so. I wasn't expecting that and thought he would be giving me a price and then would have to come back when he had the part. But that was good news and told him let's do it. He went down to his car, came back with the parts and his tools and less than half an hour later he told me to come take a look, it was all fixed. And he already had cleaned up and put the part he replaced away in his case to dispose of. Why aren't all contractors like that? If you have a plumbing issue, I don't know why anyone wouldn't use these guys. A perfect job in every way. After the job, Danny, the owner sent me my invoice and receipt including warranty. 5 stars because 10 wasn't allowed"

I wanted to take a moment to share because I think in today’s world it is rare that expectations are met or exceeded in a transaction and many times the promises made fall woefully short of the expectations promised.

 

I had never used Cleary Plumbing before and I read the reviews and called and spoke to Chris Cleary on Wednesday of last week.

 

I knew very early on he was not only knowledgeable but customer centric in his approach to the customer experience.

 

I had a wax ring leaking and “waste water” was flowing out from under the toilet.

 

Chris did not have an opening last week but said if I wanted to call back and confirm he would put me in the schedule either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

 

I called back Friday and he put me in for Monday at 8:30 a.m. and told me the name of the tech was Clem who would be arriving.

 

I was called as promised about 30 minutes before Clem arrived.

 

Clem was a pleasure to work with and he shimmed the toilet because even though the tile looked level there was a difference from one side to another allowing the toilet to move after the bolts were tightened which was causing the wax ring to be damaged and allowing the wax ring to leak as the integrity of the wax ring seal had been compromised by the toilet sitting on tiles that seemed level to the eye but were not absolutely level on both side of the toilet so that the toilet could be properly secured.

 

After shimming, the toilet still leaked because the drain was offset and he put in another additional wax ring and re- set the toilet and did what none of the previous plumbers ever did.

 

He filled the toilet with water before mortaring the toilet to the floor and flushed the toilet a number of times to make sure there seal was tight and that there was not any waste leakage.

 

He then tightened the closet bolts on the toilet and mortared the toilet base to the floor and cleaned up.

 

Clem has a heart to please and takes pride in his work and when you tell him that he did a terrific job he appreciates it.

 

Clem than changed out the cold water cartridge on my American Standard faucet.

 

Clem laid down a work mat when he worked and worked clean and professionally without wasting any time.

 

He even put on shoe covers before coming into the house.

 

The price was competitive and Cleary Plumbing from what I experienced on my initial transaction runs not only a tightly run professional business but works very hard to meet or exceed a customer’s expectations.
