He understood what we needed from our conversation. By the time we drove from Truckee to his house/garage, he had a block of hardwood shaped to size. He was creative in resolving the repair while maintaining the design integrity of the 80+ year-old, drop-leaf, mahogany-topped table. After our family dealt with a broken bracket, for decades, with various rigged ways of supporting the leaf and then a wood-filler repair that didn't hold, we are SURE that our friends in Reno will now have a table they can use for dining without having to coddle (barring doing push-ups on a drop-leaf).
