Javier and his crew earlier this year repaired a section of our original hardwood floors that were missing after we remove a pony wall in our home’s living room. They refinished the floors in our living room and the repairs were done so well you cannot tell the original floor boards from the repairs. We were so pleased that we used their services again to refinish the floors in 3 bedrooms. Again some boards were severely damaged and needed replacing and again the repairs were seemless and the floors looked fantastic. As well as the floors looking amazing Javier and his crew showed up on time & completed the work quickly and professionally. ? "I am grateful for Scott Schneider of Olde Tyme Floor Company for solving a mystery! I have just had engineered wood flooring installed in my home, (by a general contractor, not a specialized flooring contractor like Scott - mistake #1!) and couldn't understand why I didn't like the finished result!!! So I reached out to Olde Tyme to refinish my BRAND NEW FLOORS (I know - crazy!) Scott immediately diagnosed the problem and, thankfully, it was fixable! - The installer that I used (not Scott) didn't properly clean up after installation, which left a very visible and unsightly gluey "haze" - a film over the entire project, which wouldn't come off with regular wood-floor cleaner. There were even foot prints (presumably glue) from the installers' shoes! Scott very kindly, on his off hours, detailed the steps I needed to take to fix the problem - namely, insisting that the original installer return and properly clean the entire floor. ***I would absolutely hire Olde Tyme Floor Co.to install any future floors. Scott is solid and above board (no pun intended) is really communicative and personable and really knows his business! Oh, how I wish I used Olde Tyme Floor Co.!!! "We had our 100 year old oak wood floors refinished which hadn't been done for 25 years or so. Very professional, clean, did an amazing job, on time, easy to work with. The workers had to come back a second time to put another coat of (sealer?) on top because we noticed it was scratching very easily, but after they did that, we haven't had a problem. They also came back a third time to replace all of our molding (cut and stained it) which they didn't do the first time (and unfortunately wasn't part of the bid), but we were ok with that. The price was reasonable."

"Ricardo, the guy who actually did the job, was fantastic. Very friendly, helpful meticulous and a true artist. He was super professional and helped us choose the right color for the floors. We thought of dark initially, but in the end we decided on a light golden stain after he provided several sample stains on our floor. It looks beautiful, like new (and the floor might be very well 50 years old!). We paid some more money since we wanted the floors finished with "bona traffic" (sealer). "Beau and his crew installed a new prefinished wood floor in my dining room, entry way, living room and family room. In a few short years, the floor is scratched, dented and floor boards are loose. We have contacted them more times than I can count. Most of the time there is never a call back or when an appointment is set a no show. This is not the way a business should be run. I would think twice about hiring them. I know I am in the minority, but truth is truth. UPDATE: Beau contacted us and his crew came out promptly completing all necessary repairs."

"It was a pleasure working with Mario, he is very knowledgeable and helpful. Mario?s team did a great job repairing my antique hardwood floor in my 110-year old house. There was water damage, dry rot and missing wood planks. They did a great job at blending in the new wood with the old wood. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly crew. The floors look beautiful! The job took 3 days total including two coats of oil-based polyeurthane. Once the work was completed I had to wait a total of 48 hours before I could move my furniture back in (24 hours for the oil-based polyeurthane to dry and another 24 hours for it to cure). The smell of the top coat is very strong for the first 2-3 days as expected due to it being oil-based and not water-based. I chose a semi-gloss finish, no staining necessary. The type of wood we had to purchase to match my old floors was very expensive, but blended in nicely."
