"I turned to Angie’s List to find someone to do some excavation work & leveling for an above ground swimming pool. We purchased our pool in April and reached out to at least a dozen or more companies and they were all either no shows or no response (even after providing us with a quote). It has been beyond frustrating because it was now July and no pool!! So I called Daylon with Giddens & Assoc and immediately got a response back. He came out that same day to look at our property and go over the project. He spent well over an hour discussing our plans & ideas for the project and provided us with a quote by that same evening. We we’re very impressed with him and his enthusiasm for his work so we scheduled a date and a week later he and his crew showed up and knocked it out. He’s personable, punctual, responsive, knowledgeable, and dependable. He does exactly what he says he’s going to do, period! "This post is being shared as a mode of recommending. Perfection Roofing and Home Repairs. As a general contractors, they were great coordinator and communicators, even taking great pride in making sure we were apprised of all decisions. We were surprised to learn their estimates were even cheaper than we had expected. The project cost, 22K was 5K less than another reputable competitor.Senior citizens approach projects carefully, especially when new faces are involved. We felt comfortable at all times. A humanitarian side story involved how they took great care not to upset our aged dog."

"The work was finished 4 weeks after the original dates set.  They put in the tub and tile surround and said they fixed the leak.  They did not check all of the pipes before putting in tub, so when the tub was filled and drained for the first time it leaked everywhere into the downstairs bathroom. This made a huge mess and then the entire ceiling had to be replaced.  Which they charged us extra for. When they took out the ceiling they found the leak.  Which we had talked about originally and they said they had fixed when new tub went in.  We saved the toilet and the cabinet to the sink since it was hardwood and in good condition.  I figured this would save us some money.  We had a great deal of "extra" cost that was not included in the budget to begin with.  It ended up costing us closer to 6000.00 dollars instead of the original 3500.00. 
  I was very disappointed with the overall cost and with the time frame.  We were told it would take about a week.  With the leak and additional repairs it was finally done about a month later.  MY time is extremely valuable and part of the time issue was I couldn't be there at certain times.  They really need to be more precise with their time management and budget setting.  The work that was done was not up to par and it is now about 6 months later and the grout around the tub has cracked and I have to have someone else come in and redo some of the tile work as well and finish all of the edges because they were left just cut off which we have found to be dangerous.  I would never recommend this company to anyone."

"Matt was absolutely the best. We had to go out of town the day before our installation was scheduled Matt came by water our yard to get it ready. Then on the day of he was there right on time and didn't leave until he completed the project and not only that he came by while we were gone and water the newly installed grass. He went above and beyond the project. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I would highly, highly recommend Matt and his copartner. Design Matters is the company you want to have on your project."
