While each company gave me the same estimate, Stan was the only one who went beyond a cursory measuring of the area and made suggestions for widening the driveway and other small improvements that would not have occurred to me. He showed up on time with his crew, and not only completed the job quickly, but was willing to make a few last-minute changes to make me happy. The final bill he gave me was exactly what he had quoted, which was great. The crew are all hard workers and fun to be around. They cleaned up the area before leaving, and the driveway looks great! "It was great working with Josh Cooper at Cooper Brothers Paving.  I got to him late in the season when he was busy and booked up.  Still, he came out on a Sunday to assess the job and give me a quote. It was a very reasonable quote, better than three others I got. He listened to my concerns about getting the driveway graded just right and sized just right, and made recommendations that made sense.  I had just finished putting an addition on my house and so we were not yet sure how my building contractor would leave the grading for Cooper to work with.  Josh reassured me that he could make it work either way it was left for him ? and he did. As my building contractor finished up grading the yard, he (the contractor) made suggestions about building the driveway that Josh and I had not discussed.  I called and asked Josh whether he could work things differently. He reassured me that he could, that it would work fine and that it would not cost me more money. When his crew showed up, they got the job done fast and well.  He was there for all of it, checking with me as they went along that everything they did was right and what I wanted.   It was. We are very pleased with the new drive. First rate experience.  One additional note: Josh and I both had to change the schedule several times before the work was actually done.  Every time I called him to ask for a change or check on something, he either answered on the spot or called me back promptly.  And I know he was busy.  I repeat, he was great to work with.
