"Bill and his Wife Chantel are the best we have been working with them for years. We had some flying squirrels and they took care of it. Plus they have been coming every years since to spray for the lovely bugs....... can not get anyone better..."

"I was initially interested in Birch Hill Critter Solutions because they never use poison to eliminate rodents. Bob is dedicated to this principal. I was impressed by Bob's very thorough assessment of my house and grounds for not just evidence of activity, but even the possibility of rodent access, from the attic to underneath the sunroom addition. He took the time to listen to what I'd been witnessing and shared his knowledge and experience. He gave me a bid which he honored when I hired him. Bob was available within a couple of days, which was important to me. He arrived promptly and worked efficiently and effectively, patiently and professionally explaining as he went. On a freezing day, he took the necessary time to block all access points around and under the house before tackling the inside. He was on task, informative and personable for the entire job, not leaving until he was certain I was happy and satisfied with his work. I could not have asked for a better experience."

"Admiralty Chimney (AC) repaired our chimney last year. They put a metal liner in our brick chimney. Last winter was the best burn we ever had. We have lived in the house since the mid 1990s. AC cleaned the chimney today. We had minimal creosote. We use a Defiant Encore as the woodstove. Great job! "

"Pheasant Hill initially was contracted by us a few years ago to restore our front lawn, which was in very sad shape. They did an excellent job, and we subsequently retained them for annual maintenance. Recently (May 2023), however, when we asked them to help us redesign a portion of our back yard, they hesitated but then finally provided a proposal, which we accepted. Less than a week later, without explanation, we were contacted and told they would not be doing the job and our annual lawn service would be discontinued. Despite several attempts, no further communication or explanation was provided. We don't know if the business is now defunct or if they simply decided they no longer wanted our business. We would have been ok with any reasonable explanation, but the lack of communication is highly unprofessional and frustrating as we now need to find an alternative service provider mid-way through the lawncare season. Contract this company at your own risk."

"Joel their sales rep assured us our apartments would be rotated so the inside of each unit was checked at least every six months. Got the bait and switch bc they never did this and we had a cockroach infestation that went on for a year. They lied to me and then their manager claimed “we don’t see it in the contract”. I want a refund. You’ve been doing nothing productive. I can lay my own ant traps for less than $2k a year."

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Manchester, NH

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
