"When customers go back to the same service provider again and again, that's usually the best recommendation. That's the case for us with John Guarino and his crew at ProTek Painters. John's crew painted our 1929 colonial in Newton about a dozen years ago, and we've just used him to do it again. In between, we used ProTek to paint the entire interior. Each time, the prep work was first-rate, which is essential. Careful power-washing, spot sanding and priming. The crew works extremely hard, and John used a huge gang of eight or so for our house so the job was done in two long days. Scheduling was easy. The crew is respectful of shrubs and grounds and cleans up carefully. We decided to add some extras and John obliged at a reasonable additional charge. His quote was a bit higher than the lowest bidder, but way below the top quote. An excellent and professional experience overall. Again."

"I've known Ronney for a couple of years now and he is absolutely wonderful to work with. He will project manage everything and is very flexible with the types of services he can provide. For example, I needed a second thermostat installed upstairs which required HVAC expertise, electrical wires to be run a long way and then patch and painting for the walls and he handled all of those parts for me at a reasonable price. "Miguel Amaya is not only an honest, fair and hard working person but he has integrity that is truly rare (and uplifting) in this day and age. I live in Westfield, NJ and had him redo my front walkway. Miguel went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the finished product. He was forced to return because I was sold defective SEK Polysweep product by an unscrupulous vendor. Mr. Amaya redid the work by replacing the SEK product with the much better Gator Maxx polymeric sand. if you need hardscaping work done, hire Miguel Amaya, a decent, hard working, honest professional. STAY AWAY from Empire Building Supplies (see my review on them) and SEK Polysweep -- the product is garbage and the people who make/sell it know nothing about being good people who TRUTHFULLY care about fairness and/or their customer. Mr. Amaya would not accept my paying him a second time although he was forced do the job twice through no fault of his own. It was so unjust ** and yet so telling of the type of decent human being that Miguel Amaya is. Unlike the others I dealt with (at Empire and SEK), he was more interested in doing the right thing by me than he was about money. How rare. I was lucky to find such a good person and worker. I highly recommend him."

He made sure to match all of the detailed mouldings for areas that needed replacement. Sam's prices are VERY competitive and a great value for the quality of work performed. Over the course of two days, Sam was able to remove all the old mortar and caulking, clean the stairs, and replace the mortar with new cement. He was also able to cement some bricks on the sidewalk and help pitch the water away from the building. It worked perfectly! We look forward to working with Sam again!"
