"Service was nice, but didn't listen very well and ended up making the problem worse because they didn't listen. They didn't show up at the correct time, or even correct day, didn't call to let us know they were coming back, woke up the kids during nap time. Called the office to get someone to come out and actually fix the problem, and they said someone would come out to fix it tomorrow, and would call to let us know they were coming. 2 days later, I haven't even received a call. We will see if I can get a refund, but I would stay away."

"As I was replacing our old refrigerator, I attempted to shut off the old (20+ years) supply line valve, and it crumbled in my hand, spraying water everywhere. I immediately contacted Bert's, and they responded ASAP, thereby minimizing the possible damage and my visible frustration. We have been using Bert's for over 15 years, and they are always our FIRST CALL when we need service - planned or emergency. I would invite anyone to come view the many works they've performed for our houses over the years. PROFESSIONAL in both Quality and Attitude. Thank You"

Hercules Plumbing Service LLC is owned and operated by Richard Kline. For more than a decade he has worked as a plumber in the employ of other Tucson plumbing and contracting companies. After being laid off, Richard decided to put his tools and skills to work and go into business for himself. He is in the process of getting his residential and commercial certifications. Therefore, Hercules Plumbing Service LLC currently operates under ARS Chapter 10, Section 32-1151. We are limited to projects in which the total cost does not exceed $1000. We will update our profile when that restriction is lifted. We do not use subcontractors and all work is performed by Richard himself. Visit our website for more details on pricing and services, but the minimum charge for a service call is one hour of labor ($45). If you live in Tucson itself, there is no additional travel charge. If you live in the surrounding communities (Marana, Vail, Sauhaurita, etc) then there may be a small additional travel charge (please see our website for a map).

"This is my worst experience I ever had with ANTECH company in Tucson. On March 12 2018 Gary Bobell from ANTECH came to my house to give me the estimate for raising the masonry wall on my backyard. I went to my backyard with ANTECH consultant to explain and show what needs to be done. I asked to give me the estimate to raise the entire existing wall by 1 course , and to raise whole back wall and sideline walls to the first expansion joints by 2 courses including one H block. I pointed out more than two times how important it is to me to raise the back and side walls as high as we can. He told me that we can rase the wall no more than 2 blocks. I signed the proposal because I did not expected that your interpretation would be different than mine. On the project day two workers and consultant came to my house. They started to tear out blocks from the first top row on the existing wall. My husband asked them what are they going to do, than he learned that they will race only the back wall by 2 courses and sides of the wall by one course. Gary told my husband that if he would like to race side walls by 2 courses than he needs to pay more ( he calculated the price very quickly $1100) this was too much for us to pay at this moment. My husband asked them to leave because he did want to have just part of the project to be done. They destroyed part of my wall and left. Gary said it will cost us $200 to cancel this job. The proposal is not specific. I do not see any specific length for the wall. We pay $830 deposit. I called the company five or more times in the last two weeks. Every time I would call they would never resolve the problem. Each time they tell me that someone will call me back, not once has someone called me back. I would like my money back. I spoke with Sara, Paula, and Jacqueline. Jacqueline told me that I can get $400 back instead $830 because of labor and materials. I never seen any materials for my project on my property. Also, on the project day two workers came for about 30-40 minutes."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Marana, AZ

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
